Yesterday I put the oven through the self-clean cycle and it seemed to run fine. I pressed self-clean, the display showed 4.00 hours, I hit start and off it went. The display then showed "oven clean/locked door", and the timer ran down from 4.00 hours. When the cycle ended 4 hours later, I had a clean oven, however, the locked door display would not go off. My husband managed to get the door open, but now the oven will not work - bake or broil. When I try to select the bake or broil function, it will not allow me to set the temperature. The range top burners all work. The door opens and closes and appears to latch properly. I set it to run the self-clean cycle again, and the display showed all of the appropriate messages, however the oven door did not lock. I stopped the cycle after about 10 minutes. Probably important: about 1 year ago I had food placed too close to the broiler and the oven caught fire. It was quickly extinguished, but ever since I turn on the oven to bake or broil, the top of the range gets hot - hotter than it used to. It is almost too warm to the touch, as if I burned through the insuluation. I have not put the oven through the self-clean cycle since the oven fire - until yesterday. I have been baking and broiling without incident until yesterday. I have the same problem but no numbers to press help me
Try to hold down the light switch on the door set it up for another cleaning hit start when oven clean door lock showes hit cancel if that doesnt work try unplugging it for three min fyi the doors can take up to an hour to un lock after cleaning its so it dont burn your face off from the intense heat after cleaning some take 2

Carol, let me see if I can help you with this. First try killing the power to the oven for 30 seconds and see if the locking mech resets. If nothing changes try this: kill the power for at least ten seconds, power back up,simultaneously press the cooking time, delay start and the number 8 pad. Test should appear in the display. Press and hold the self clean key, this will test the lock motor and cam assy. The display should show 2 on the left (for locked) and change to 3 on the left for unlocked. Travel time of the cam will display a 0 between locked and unlocked. You must hold the self clean key for these changes. This latch mechanism is thermally controlled and sends a message to the main board to lock and unlock during self cleaning. We are just bypassing this with this test. Your temperature sensor may have gone bad during the self cleaning cycle. This is the probe located in the oven cavity. If you know anyone that is handy with a meter, it should ohm out at 1092 ohms at room temp. If this checks out, someone will have to open the top and check the lock motor and cam. Catriver..post back.

Most likely the oven ignitor is bad or weak. You can look at it and see how it compares to the broil ignitor. If you see a whitish color on the ignitor and if it doesn't fully glow then it needs to be replaced.
