First try reinstalling the audio device driver. You should also check the default settings of the sound in the control panel.

Are you forget to install sound driver during installing operating system on your laptop? So first check that drivers are properly install or not. If it is not install, install it. If already installed, try to update it.

Still you are not getting any sound on your dell laptop so it also possible that the sound card is possibly dead. If the computer uses on-board sound (meaning there is no separate card with sound jacks on it), that is more problematic. That part on the board cannot be replaced without replacing the whole motherboard, normally. In either case, install a new sound card and use its jacks for audio.

Feel free to get technical assistance at http://www.vtechsquad.com/lenovo-support/ if you get any issue with your Lenovo laptop/desktop.

If it is working properly, second is go to control panel and select RECOVERY and open system restore, choose exact date that your audio device working properly. If not simply uninstall and install the driver. All of them it doesn't work just buy usb audio device like this https://www.google.com.ph/search?q=usb+audio+device&client=firefox-a&hs=U7k&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=_MDMUqTZCc7PiAfyt4GYDQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=718#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=wfRzEF_R6kAGdM%3A%3B1vCA49U-0gpQJM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.techfuels.com%252Fattachment.php%253Fattachmentid%253D18198%2526d%253D1271760841%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.techfuels.com%252Fthreads%252F35253-USB-2-0-3D-7-1-Channel-Audio-Sound-Card-Adapter%3B479%3B369.

I have no sound and i can not see the volume control

It's a possible problem with the driver or the sound card may be disabled. To check if the sound card is disabled or drivers not installed,
1. Right click on "My Computer" select "Properties"

2. Click "Device Manager"
11_23_2011_1_32_59_am.jpg
3. From the list, you should see a "Sound Controller" and if you click on the drop down arrow beside it, you should see the audio driver installed(ex. High Definition Audio Device... audio driver name may vary depending on the brand of the laptop).

4. Right click on the sample "High Definition Audio Device" then select Properties. If it says device is working properly then there shouldn't be any problem with your audio.

** If the Sound Controller is NOT installed properly you need to download the Audio drivers from the support site of your Dell computer, http://support.dell.com , be sure to select the correct model of your laptop and operating system of your computer. Once you have downloaded and installed the drivers, Audio should work fine not unless it is the hardware itself that is damaged.
**Also don't forget to check if there are other external audio output devices connected to your computer, please do test if working properly.
Hope this helps. Glad to be of service.

No audio device

The "No Audio Device Error" message is usually displayed by your computer when it does not detect any properly working audio device attached to it. You will not hear any sound from your computer when this message appears. Only the internal speaker of the computer can provide you bleeping sounds.
When this message appears on your screen, you will need to first check your computer's BIOS and ensure that the audio is set to "auto" mode. You should also check if you have installed the correct drivers needed by the audio device attached to your computer in order for it to work properly.
Audio Device Drivers The most frequent cause of this problem is an incorrect audio device driver that has been installed by the user. In order to double check if your driver matches your device, refer to the user's manual that came with it to look for its type and specifications. The audio device driver for an onboard device should be provided along with the chipset drivers in the CD that accompanies the motherboard.
Use the Device Manager You can use the device manager to ascertain if the audio device drivers are installed properly. To go to the device manager, right click on the My Computer icon, then click Properties, click on the Hardware tab and then Device Manager. If any device is marked with a yellow question mark, it is an indication that the required drivers are missing. It should be instantly clear if the audio device is truant.
Loose Connections on the Motherboard You can open your computer and directly look at the information written on the audio device itself. While doing this, make it a point to check all connections by ensuring that everything is properly plugged in its correct place. Sometimes, this error is also caused by loose connections and a sound card that has been improperly attached to the PC.
You can download the latest updated drivers from the manufacturer's website, either from your own computer or another. If you have used another computer, you can use a data storage device to bring the drivers to your machine and execute the software installer from there. Ensure that the driver you have downloaded is compatible with the operating system installed on your machine.
Is Your Audio Device Defective? If problems with your audio device still persist, you can opt to test the audio device on a different machine just to see if it's in good working condition. If it still doesn't work on a different machine, you have a defective audio device. You will need to get it replaced if it is under warranty or purchase a brand new one. Remember that you should buy the audio device that is compatible with your motherboard. In addition, don't forget to ask for the updated software drivers of the audio device

I want to download conexant hd audio 221 xp c770tu diver how can

The headphones would not be the issue unless they came with an actual software cd included. If your audio Drivers are not the correct ones for your audio device on your computer, download the proper ones. Best way to find out what you have is to look under Device Manager which is in Control Panel, Under the System>Hardware Option in the Control Panel Folder.

Verify that your device is working properly. If it is working properly. and All other audio options, like Speakers work, then the Headphones are malfunctioning and you will need to contact the manufacturer.

If no audo works at all but the Device is listed as working properly, then you possibly have a damage audio jack port
