Remove the rear lower panel of washer, and remove the drum belt.
From the front of the washer, spin the drum by hand, and if it feels rough or is rumbling, could be the drum bearings are going.
If there is something caught, it will make a completely different kind of noise, more like a catching or rubbing noise.
If no noise, then could be the motor that is casing the noise.
Hope this helps.

Duet washer making a loud noise on spin cycle, it squeaks on low spin and then when it gets up to high speed, it is really loud. What could this be?

In most cases it is something that is sticking between the drum and the housing. Check inside the boot by the door. If that is not helpful move the drum by hand and listen to see if you can locate the area of the noise.

COULD BE THE TRANSMISSION SPRING OR TRANSMISSION BEARINGS. EVEN UR TUB BEARINGS IN THE TUB, A BAD MOTOR COUPLER HOWEVER U WOULD NOT GET ANY SPIN OR AGITATION IF THE COUPLER WAS BAD. BAD BREAKING SYSTEM WOULD NORMALLY MAKE NOISE BUT WHAT U WOULD GET THEN IS A COMBINED SPIN AND AGITATION DURING SPIN CYCLE,

Bosch wfk 2800 drum makes a noise when turned around

When you rotate the drum by hand slowly does it feel bumpy and still make a noise? If so suspect the bearings on the drum to be the culprit. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have a front load LG TROMM WM2277HB and yesterday it wouldn't spin anymoreand there was a noise coming from inside like 2 metal cylinders were rubbing on each other. I called SEARS Serv

if the machine fails to spin and makes noise there are thee things to check .if it fails to drain the water check if something is stuck on the drain pump no 2 turn the drum with your hand and check if the drum is moving freely if not something is stuck between the drum and the housing if the bearings are faulty the machine spins but makes alot of noise towards the end of the cycle i hope this will help you.

Washing machine - terrible noise during spin cycle

sounds like the drum is rubbing on some part of an exterior wall of your washer,.or you have a bearing going, or worst case scenario you have transmission problems and need to get a serviceman in to check your machine. But firstI would call the manfacturer and explain the problem they may be able to resolve it over the phone give them model no. Make and year of manfacture they hopefully can help you with this

Very noisy on spin

hello there.....the noise you hear is most likley due to failed drum bearings or something trapped in the drum....test as follows....isolate machine....open the door...test the drum for up and down lift...there should be no movement at all....if all is well here...remove the lid and remove drive belt....spin the drum by hand and listen for any bearing noise (rumble). or metallic sound of something trapped in drum..if all is well here refit the lid temp...Then select spin and start machine...if motor is noisy then the problem is with the motor bearings

Washer problems

Hi there!

The problem is probably the main drum bearing at the back.

Isolate power and water supplies.

The top will have to come off,(screws along top edge at back), then the motor mount slackened to remove the belt. Then try rotating the drum by hand, If the noise is still there, check for any items lodged between metal drum, and the outer plastic wash tub. If everything is clear, The noise will be from the rear bearing, which needs to be replaced.

I can assist you further with this.
