The lower of the 2 screws is the fuel/ air mixture- the upper screw is the idle adjust screw

What is the adjustment or how to adj, a single screw carb?

That is the mixture screw. Turn clockwise to get a leaner mixture, counter-clockwise for richer. For initial setting, try with the mixture screw open 1/4 turn. Start the engine and adjust the mixture screw for good running. After it is warmed up, lean the mixture until the engine starts to miss and then turn the screw about 1/8 turn CCW

Tk carb ? sthil trimmer has 3 adj screws ,how do you adj?

One adjustment screw (probably Phillips-head) is the Idle speed adjustment screw. Turn it in, to increase idle speed (it moves the throttle plate)...turn it out to slow idle speed down. The other 2 screws are the Low mixture screw and the High mixture screw. The L screw is closest to the engine and is used to adjust the engine at IDLE. The H mixture screw is to be adjusted when the engine is at wide-open throttle to get the proper RPM's....not too little and not too much. Here is a tutorial by Zama carburetor reiterating what I have just told you and HOW to go about your adjustment.

My pressure washer is making a sound like a car engine is in neural and the gas pedal is being presses and then released continuously

sounds like carbeurator problem. could need cleaning or adjustment. some carbs have spring loaded adjustment screws for richening or leaning the carb look for the lower adj screw run the machine while turning the screw clock or counter clock wise and see if it smooths out , newer carbs dont have these screws and may have to be replaced or soaked in industrial carb cleaner.

MY CARB

I didn't think there was an adjustment in there, the air fuel screw?? Is it outside? Are there 2 screws outside? Is it Mikuni? If it has 2 adj screws outside, turn both in all the way, then back them out 1 1/4 turns each, this should get you running, some minor adj from there should make it right. But I could have sworn there was no adj on those, and the only way to adjust it is to change the jet. Check it out.

Need to adjust my honda shadow 500 vt carburator's fuel/air mixture

start by synchronizing your throttle plates. Honda calls the next step the "idle drop procedure". u need to know if you have fuel adj. screws or air adj. screws. fuel screws will be on engine side of carb slide, air screws will be on airbox side of carb slide. start leaning out mixture, (turn in fuel screw, turn out air screw. idle will increase so keep adjusting idle back to spec.after each turn if needed. Adjust about 1/4 to 1/2 turn at a time on each carb until there is no change in idle, then richen up mixture by one half turn. If u sync throttle plates first then follow this procedure, there should be no hesitation when you "blip" the throttle, and after revving it should return to idle smooth,

Fuel bowl on my 50cc scooter keeps empting and killing the engine I keep adjusting the carb fuel screw on the carb but I still have the Fuel bowl empting. Does anyone know if I need to turn the fuel screw...

It has nothing to do with the adjustments, what is going on is your float is stuck in the carb , you will have to take the float bowl off , float is sticking than you will have to try and clean the needle and seat valve.
