Xerox M15: Blank copies

is it problem when you try to copy vis adf or its aucord in platen glass also?

If you can print any internal report from the machine or from your computer then the problem is in your scanner.
If you cannot perform any print function then probably the laser assembly has failed.

Are you making copies on the glass or ADF? If you are getting blank copies using both the glass and ADF than your CIS(scanner) unit is bad.

Have you verified that the scanner is not in the locked position? There is a unlock switch located underneath the paper exit. First power the printer down lock and then unlock this switch then repower the printer and try your scan again.

Scanner lock is on. Should have heard a noise or popped an L code but I have seen this happen as well.

Open the cover and put a piece of paper on only half the glass, and make a copy. BLOCK the left side of the glass with the blank paper.
See where it is blank. Most of the times that is a dirty or haved up mirror in the scan head. One of the small mirrors in the black assembly under the lamp. When a digital copier scanner optics become dirty, the image in that area becomes very light .

If your on maintenance tell them you want a replacement. If you have a maintenance agreement you are entitled to an identical replacement. Write a letter, with the serial number, peoblem and tellt them you want to exercise your TSG agreement. Total Satisfaction Agreement.
Not fixing it is rediculas.

Does it also leave the line when you make a copy? Lift the lid and make a copy cover up. If it is there on the copy then most likely your scanner needs to be cleaned. If it isnt there when you copy, let me know we will go from there.

if you print from a printer do you get the blank like?
if Yes, then you may have some dead LED's on the scanner (this will need replacement)
if No, then look at your scanner (small thin glass strip that reads the paper when being copied) and clean it. 9 times out of 10 there is some white-out or toner stuck to it, clean it and that should fix that.
