Mitsubishi WS - 55819 Power light comes on and then unit goes off. I have pressed the menu and input at the same time and the green light pauses 2,2. for several times.

Can you give me an idea where the fuse is I have the back off and there are three main boards.

If the fuse blows after replacement, then the convergence chips are bad? Which ones and where can I get them? Any advice on replacing them. The set was made in 2002 do those chip have a short life due to heat.

Hi,
Check / replace fuse F9A04 in power supply that provide +24V to convergence out chips in TV.
If fuse blew off again then convergence out chips would be replaced.

Below exploded view of chassis shows Fuse location in TV, marked section is power supply area.
It would be pico fuse, looks like resistor.

Yes, if fuse blows again that means convergence out chips are bad and needs to be replaced.

Required STK392-570 (convergence out ICs) are available in Part Store for $24

I have a mitsubishi ws-65315. When I go to turn the tv on the green power light comes on and you can hear the tv click on, but seconds later shuts off.

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Powers on then shuts off in 2 or 3 seconds with a green light

Please do the self check this model should have;

When power light comes on and then goes off: On the front of the set press and hold both the Menu and Input (or device) for at least five seconds and then release both buttons.

Watch the power light as it should now blink a two digit error code--for example--2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks. It will repeat the code at least five times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

Stays on for 2 seconds and switches off

A 2-2 code on that unit means over current shutdown. 95% of the time that code indicates defective convergence output IC's.

Over 95% of the time a 2 - 2 blink code on that model is a convergence output problem. You need to replace both of the convergence output IC's and perhaps the pico fuses feeding them voltage. The pico fuses are F9A04 and F9A05. They are on the same board with the convergence outputs.

The DM is fine if the led isnt blinking. Your set is going into protective shutdown. Try pressing the menu and the device/input buttons on the set both in together for 5 seconds to see if the set will blink a series of blinks pause then blink another series of blinks. Such as 2 blinks pause then 2 blinks, Then let me know what the blinks were and I will assist you with whats wrong
