How to play minor chords on Bontempi MS40?

I have an old Bontempi MS40 keyboard. All the bass notes play chords. I don't know how to play minor chords or 7 chords. Anyone know how? The song books that came with it imply the keyboard can play these chords but it doesn't say how. I don't have an owners manual.

Easy:

- the lowest key gives the chord C for C major (do majeur)
- add a key on the right (up) for exemample D or E or (it doesn't a matter) gives you the minor chord.. (here Cm = do mineur)
- add a third one ( always on the right side) gives you the 7 here C7 (do septieme)

enjoy!

what a pity we can't easily disable this auto chord function in orfer to get real notes for the left hand!!!

The ACMP function doesnt work when I play, even tho it says it is on in the display window

Check you have selected 'sync start'. The ACMP selection activates the automatic chords but not the rhythm, so each note produces a droning chord. Sync start activates the automatic chords and rhythm you have selected when you play anywhere near the bottom end of the keyboard. Alternatively you can manually press play to start the drums by themselves and then the chords will begin the moment to play with your left hand.

Can I hit one key to play a chord and how do I do it

It depends exactly on the model of keyboard you have but in short look for the accompaniment button normally on the left hand side. With this pressed you can then get 1 finger chords in the left hand ( 2 fingers will give minor or 7th options ) check your handbook

Yamaha psr 1000

Hi
I'm not sure I completely understand your problem but......it sounds like you might be in "Fingered On Bass" mode. This means if you play a chord like F using the notes FAC- if you play them in 2nd inversion (so the order is CFA) the psr-1000 will make the note "C" the bass note. In this mode if you played ACF then "A" would be in the bass part. Change to "Fingered Chord"-this will enable you to play any chord with the tonic (the name of the chord) F whether you play FAC, ACF or CFA in the bass part. I don't have access to a psr-1000 but often with Yamaha instruments this can be changed by pressing and holding the "Auto Accompaniment" button. I hope this helps.

My qy100 won't play my sequenced arrangements. It's stuck on the first chord

I don't know how you are sequencing these... but maybe you are forgetting to send the note off commands? Some methods automatically generate the note off, others don't.

Hi, when I play a chord on my Casio-656 keyboard it sometimes sounds out of tune - if you hit the chord again it plays correctly. Is this a fault or a setting? It seems to be intermittent so that would...

I would check your fingering... You MAY be late in hitting a particular note and the using auto chord... this can cause the problem. Another thing is if notes are hit with different velocity that can affect the sound. Sometimes certain voices have VELOCITY switching which actually changes the voice depending on the velocity you hit a note.

Keys 7 and 8 from the bass side are lower than

In Casio Chord mode, the bottom keys up to the second F plays Bass Chords. The Keyboard is just putting the keys you play back into bass when you get up that high. If you read along the plastic edge above where they keys come out of the keyboard, it shows you where the Chord keys end and the Keyboard begins. If you want use of all the Octaves, slide the power switch to the first setting (normal).
