Timer programming problem

When I try to set multiple timer programs, they all revert to the last channel entered. For example, I set one timer recording for Tuesday - 7:00 - 8:00 PM to record channel 002-001; then I set a time for Wednesday - 10:00 - 11:00 AM to record channel 005-001; if I go back to review the Tuesday settings, the channel has changed to 005-001! Very frustrating! I've tried turning the unit off and on, but that hasn't helped. Neither has un-plugging it.

Same issue on the DRM-1601A unit.

Basically it only remembers the last channel on all the digital channel recordings that are scheduled.

Check to see that you have not changed the default choice for input on power up of the box the "timeshift default device". If you have it set to front or rear CVBS or S-video input, it may ignore the channel choice you make when setting up the recording.

How do i set timer on gardena t 1030 d with distibutor?

Question is not clear.
-Are you looking for a product manual? Or somebody to explain certain parts of manual?
Add a comment with specific question, and I will respond. Or take advantage of fixya live and expert speaks with you over phone while you program timer.

-If you want the timer to control different watering channels, then 1030D does not perform that function. The timer just turns one valve on-and-off.

-Open following links to identify timer and download manual, and see links to other water timer products for example Orbit timers and Intermatic sprinkler timers can control multiple water channels:

I need a wiring diagram for an intermatic timer model et70215c

Add a comment and say what voltage you are working with and what you are controlling with timer. Example wiring:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Intermatic-et70215cr-wiring-900.jpg

ET70215C timer is a 2-channel timer that can be wired MANY different ways, to control multiple voltages in different ways.
Each channel can be programmed separately to control 2 different loads with different schedules for each load.

Clock terminals are 1 and 2, and default clock voltage is 120Volts, but can be set for 208, 240 or 277Volts.

The switching terminals 3 4 5 6 7 8 are 'dry.' Max load rating is 20 amps per terminal
Dry terminals receive no power when voltage is applied to clock terminals 1 and 2.
This lets you to have 120Volt clock, but control 240Volt circuit with one of the channels, and 24volt with other channel.
Or you can jumper from the clock terminals and put power to terminals 3 and 6 as shown in illustration above.
The timer ALSO has NO and NC terminals that reverse the circuit each time the program turns the switch on-and-off. So when timer program is OFF then power travels from terminal 3 to terminal 5. When program is ON, power travels from terminal 3 to terminal 4.

Can't program, won't turn lites off

"If you need more programming assistance, request form #158ET9311 " from Intermatic.
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service.aspx
Or call Intermatic: 815-675-7000

Manual shows example programming on page 17-18:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-et70415cr.pdf
The instruction manual for this timer does not have step-by-step programming.
There is example programming on page 17-18, but it shows one example.
The timer manual doesn't have step-by-step because the timer prompts the user as the user is programming timer.
As a result, it is difficult to know what step was missed.
It is equally difficult for expert to know what went wrong.
In addition, the timer offers choice of 24 hour or 1-week or 365 day programming.
Also the timer offers choice between 'astro' dawn-dusk' or 'fixed' programming, 'pulse' bell-ringing programming, and 'interval' programming.
And then there are additional programs available for individual days throughout the year if you choose 365 day operation.
Add on top of that, the timer has 4-channel operation where each of the 4 different relay circuits are programmed separately for each of the options mentioned above.
For these reasons, I recommend contacting Intermatic about this timer.

Grasslin FM1D20A 120 PLEASE....I need a full programming manual on this unit. It was installed in a brand new Engineered Air rooftop air cycling unit last fall and it is a nightmare to program. It...

FM1D single-channel timer is difficult to program.
Open following links to identify timer and download manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html#GM40AVE
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/fmd-20-setpoint-programming-guide.pdf

Timer flowchart starts page 3.
First step is to select format and then set current time.
Format is asking if you want 24hour or 12 hour format:
12 hour is am and pm
24 hour is military time where 11pm at night is hour 23.
Current time is simply the time right now.

Next step is to set program 1 thru 20 (P01 P02 thru P20)
Start by pushing +/- until desired program displays
Each program is set for either ON or OFF.
There are 20 memories available: 10 ON and 10 OFF.
Not necessary to use all 20 memories.
You need to set at least 1 ON time and 1 OFF time.

Make chart of on-off schedule to avoid conflicts in programming: For example ON at 7am Monday and OFF at 9am all-days-of-week will cause timer not to function as expected.
Each ON time is set for hour, minute and day.
Each OFF time is set for hour, minute and day
Press menu to terminate programming.

Add a comment for specific help with this timer.

Have the timer set on Auto but lights are not on during the ON period. Also do I need to set times for all 7 periods?

No, you do not need to set all 7 timer events.
When event1 ON and event1 OFF are set, press CLOCK button to exit programming and save programs. Or press PROGRAM button and move to event2 ON and event2 OFF. Exit programming any time by pressing clock button.
http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/consumer%20outdoor%20timers/digital%20timers/hb88rc.aspx

That being said, if events conflict with each other, timer will not operate.
For example event1 ON FR at 7pm and event1 OFF all-days at 11pm.
The days have to match for on-off times.

Another example event1 ON FR at 7pm and event1 OFF FR 11pm, but event2 ON all days 8pm event2 OFF all days 10pm. This overlap will cause timer to skip programs.

If timer is being used in random mode, timer programs cannot be closer than 1/2 hour apart.

When programming is done, press clock button to display current time.
Timer should be ready to go.
Manual is fuzzy at this point, and does not specifically say, but it appears that you only press MODE button when you want to set another mode beside auto.
I e-mailed Intermatic last week about this unclear spot because several folks are writing in about this timer not going into correct MODE after programs are set.
MODE must be set to automatic
Press MODE button once for manual override function
Press MODE again and RDM displays for random >> this is for lights turning on randomly when on vacation.
Press MODE button third time, and AUTO shows on display >> you want timer in AUTO for timer programs to operate.
Here's the trick ... after setting MODE to auto, press clock button to display current time

If timer will not enter AUTO, then timer is defective.
If Intermatic sends response that is pertinent to your question, I will post again on this thread.
Add a comment any time, and I will respond.

I also am having trouble with this timer. I've got the program set for when I want it to go on but can't figure out how to put in the time I want it to stop. I don't understand where the countdown timer...

ETW350 is programmable timer that offers 3 different timer
functions: Program, countdown and random.
Timer has 20 different settings.
UPM site is not available recently, but UPM timers are still being sold.

Operation manual is not very clear how to program ON and OFF times.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/UPM-etw350.pdf

That being said, usually with programmable timers, you program ON time. And then program OFF time.

I do not own this timer so I can't test ETW350 like I've tested other timers.
I think the way this timer works, is program1 is ON.
And program2 is OFF.
Again, manual is not CLEAR about ON and OFF times.

Following instructions assume timer is wired correctly, timer is set for current time, and you want to set 'timer' function and not 'random' function.
Here's how to set program1.
Press arrow buttons until 1 shows in display. This is program1.
Press Set button.
Select day for program1 ON using arrow keys
Press Set button.
Select hour for program1 ON using arrow keys.
Press Set button.
Select minute for program1 ON using arrow keys.
Press Set button.
Use arrow keys until 2 appears on display. This is program2.
I believe program2 is for OFF times.
Set program2 using same steps above.
Be careful to match ON and OFF days ... for example ON 7pm Monday and OFF 9pm Friday will keep lights on from Mon through FRI.
Conflicts in programming will cause timer not to work. For example program1 ON 7pm Monday, program2 OFF 9pm Monday ... but programs3-4 say opposite times.
Make a schedule of program times before starting to avoid conflicts.
Try steps above and test fire that timer, and then add a comment.
