To wire a DVC subwoofer, treat it (in the diagrams) as two seperate speakers, called coil one and coil two. This makes things easier.

To wire them up, wiring them in series would be safer, but if the amp is 2 ohm stable, put them in parallel. Look up dual voice coil wiring in google imagesfor more information and pictures.

I need pictures on how to wire the dual voicecoils

first u need to know what ohm load the coils are then find out what your amp can be run at then wire then to the lowest load your amp will handle, the best diagram is on rockford fossgate's web site under woofer wiring.

My 12" subwolfer has two ports how do i install it to my amp

if it is a dual 4 ohm voicecoil subwoofer - and your amplifier is rated at a 2 ohm load - both + to the + on the amplifier, and both - to the - on the amplifier will net a 2ohm mono load.
Most amplifiers are capable of a 2 ohm bridged load.

If your subwoofer us dual 2 ohm - a 1 ohm load is achieved, but many amplifiers cannot handle this low impedence and damage will result.

Verify your amplifier's capabilities before wiring - and also the impedence of your voicecoils.

AMP

That amplifier is only stable to 2 ohms.
You will only be able to use one Dual 4 ohm Subwoofer wired in parallel (all + to + on amp.... all - to - on amp.
This will yield a 2 ohm mono load.

It is impossible to wire (2) dual 4 ohm voicecoils to achieve a 2 ohm mono load.

If you're set on using both subwoofers - they will not be getting as much power from your amplifier with a 4 ohm load - but it is your only option.

Why does my Legacy LSW157 sub-woofer have 2 inputs?

This is called a dual voicecoil subwoofer.

It gives wiring flexibility.

While playing only 1 voicecoil is possible - it is not recommended.

They should be wired to match your amplifier.

If it is 2ohm Mono stable - you can wire both positives and both negatives together to the amplifier so it sees a 2ohm load (parallel wiring)

If your amplifier is not 2 ohm mono stable - you have no option but to either wire up 1 set of coils... or wire them in series.

+ on amplifier to + on coil1
- on coil 1 to + on coil 2
- on coil 2 to - on amplifier

This will yeild an 8ohm load for your amplifier.

Good for sonic clarity - but you will not get the full potential from your amplifier.

15 cvr 4ohm trying to drop to 1 ohm

Are these Dual Voicecoil Subwoofers? Are there 4 terminals on each sub for wires?

If they are Dual 4 ohm voicecoil subwoofers
- connect both + on subwoofer 1
- connect both - on subwoofer 2
- connect both + on subwoofer 2
- connect both - on subwoofer 1

This will give you a 2 ohm STEREO load.
To get a 1 ohm MONO load...
now connect only one of the + on EACH sub to the + on the amplifier.
and the - on EACH sub to the - on the amplifier.
You now have a 1 ohm mono load.

If your speakers are 4ohm single voicecoils (one pair of terminals) the lowest impedence possible is 2 ohms.

This is wired in the same fashion. Both + on the subwoofers to the + on the amp, and both - on the subwoofers to the - on the amp.

How to wire 2 dvc subs to a orion 2150sx ? dont know the wire colors or how to hook um to my amp.

what impedence are the voicecoils?
Dual 4 - Dual 2 - Dual 1 ??

Orion SX / GS / HCCA amp Wiring guide:

Orange = Right Positive
Black/ Orange = Right Negative
Yellow = Left Positive
Black/ Yellow = Left Negative
Blue = 1+1

Bridging of SX or HCCA Amps:
1. Use the Orange wire for Positive.
2 Use the Black/ Yellow wire for Negative
3. Push "in" the Mono Button
That amplifier is only 4ohm mono stable - so assuming the subs are dual 4 ohm voicecoils...

First wire both in Parallel Independently So each subwoofer is now a 2 ohm load. (combine + and + - and- on both subwoofers)

Now Take a positive on one voicecoil of sub #1 and attach to amplifier+(orange)

Take a - on that same subwoofer and attach it to a + on the OTHER subwoofer.

Finally, take a - from the second woofer to the amplifier -(black/yellow)

Now you have a 4 ohm load on your bridged channels.

Trying to figure out what kind of amp i got amercian pro vs-3507?

The VS3507 Is a class D monoblock.
Your optimum wiring for this amplifier is a 2 Ohm load - so it produces its full potential power of 350W RMS.

To Achieve a 2 ohm load, the most common load is one of the following...
(1) Dual 4 Ohm Voicecoil Subwoofer Wired in Parallel.
(2) 4 Ohm Voicecoil Subwoofers wired in Parallel.
(1) Quad 2 Ohm Voicecoil Subwoofer wired in Parallel/Series.
(1) Single 2 Ohm voicecoil subwoofer.

Jl audio 10w6 x zapco350

These subwoofers are dual 4 ohm voicecoils.

Parallel wiring the 2 voicecoils would net a 2 ohm mono load.

Connect both + on the sub to the + on the amp.
Connect both - on the sub to the - on the amp.

Many professionals simply jumper the 2 + and 2- on the sub.... then run 1 set of wires from one of the terminals to the amplifier.

REWIRE

Series wiring of a 4 ohm DVC subwoofer will result in an 8 ohm load.
See the following diagram.
The diagram listed has a dual 2 ohm voicecoil, netting 4 ohm, however in your case, the dual 4 ohm sub will net an 8 ohm load.
