My son's gameboy advance sp console seems only to work for a few seconds before the game hangs up & the screen remains pixellated & makes a strange buzzing sound. Sometimes it doesn't even get past the start up screen. Tried other games & it does the same thing. The battery is fine & still charges ok. Was working fine till yesterday. Any suggestions??
Thanks for the suggestions. I think it was the ribbon cable that had come loose. Opened it & pushed the cable back & it works fine!! Your help was much appreciated! Thanks for the suggestions. Well umm i havent heard of that but the only thing i could think is wrong is the actual consol itself try taking the game out blowing on the bottem and blowing on the game slot on the gameboyor if it dosent wor their are most likly somecords missing or broken in the consol so open it up and have a look around and see it their some pugs even pluged out a little

you either play them under direct (sun) light or attach some kind of external light like a worm light for a game boy color/advance, but the light isn't evenly distributed. i have a halo light for my gb advance--better than nothing. game boy advance sp has a front lit screen. GameStop sells game boy advance sp for $40. hope this helped some
It is possible to buy another Screen for the GBASP, however it would probably be less work and less trouble just to go to your local Gamestop and buy a new SP for 40 bucks.
