Getting a better graphics should help you speed up video playback. THe reason it is slow is because as your computer gets older it cant keep up with the advancing video and your computer has to work harder to process the video for it which is making it lag. the only reason it plays movies good is because it is already downloaded

The fun part is that the computer plays networked video just fine. It's just that /flash/ video for some unfathomable reason, requires a hundred times the CPU of normal quicktime, WMV or whatever non-flash video type, all of which work fine.

I'd either like a way to avoid Flash in Youtube, or to speed up Flash on the G4.

The music videos won't play

Hi, the videos may not play if the Adobe Flash Player in the computer may corrupt or not updated to latest version. Please download and install the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox and then download and install the Adobe Flash Player. Please restart the Mozilla Firefox and visit the Youtube. Now the Videos should be playing.

Please search in google as Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player to get the download link for the Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player.

Choppy play with high quality video

A replacemnet video card would help some, but you still have the problem of the 440 mhz processor.

There is not a lot you can do about the processor outside of rebuilding the whole computer. If for some reason that is not an option for you, then yeah, a $20 video card from ebay might give some relief (if you know what to get.. AGP or PCI), but don't be surprised if your processor is just too taxed to render high quality video at the proper rate.

RAM cuantity

The motherboard you mentioned supports DDR1 RAM.

For windows xp and general application 512 MB is enough.
But if you use memory intensive applications like image/video editing then you can opt for 1-2 GB RAM.
