The cosecant function does not have a specific key on any calculator because it can be easily calculated as the reciprocal of sine.
Thus csc(-330°)=1/sin(-330°)=2
sin(-330°)=sin(360°-330°)=sin(30°)=0.5
csc(-330°)=1/0.5=2
If you do not want to be bothered with these facts, just calculate the sine of -330° and take the reciprocal of the result using the [x^-1] key. For the minus sign before 330, use the change sign key (-). Close the right parenthesis.

[SIN] [(-)] 330 [)] [x^-1]

How do I round this 45.2088 to nearest hundredth

(45.21) ...you round it to two digits beyond the decimal point. 45.2 is to the nearest tenth, 45.20 or 45.21 is to the nearest hundredth.

The 8 after the zero in the hundredths column means that you round the zero to the next number, being one (1), or 45.21, which is 45 and 21 hundredths...or 45.21.

If the number was 45.2048, you would round that to 45.20 to the nearest hundredth.

Solve . Round the answers to the nearest hundredth.

You need to post the question.

To round to the nearest hundredth, you find the hundredths column and look to the column immediately to the right. If it is 5 or more, you add one to the hundredths column. Delete all columns to the right of the hundredths column, and you are done.

Good luck,

What is 0.56 rounded to the nearest hundredth

Hi,

You need more decimals to be able to round it to the nearest hundredth, because the 6 is in the hundredths column.

If the number to the right of the 6 was 5 or more, you would add 1 to the 6 to get 7 and the answer would be 0.57,

If the number to the right of the 6 was 4 or less, you wouldn't add the 1 and your answer would be 0.56.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck,

Paul

tenths
To round to the nearest hundredth, we have to find the hundredths column, look to the digit to the right. If it is 5 or over, we add 1 to the hundredths column, otherwise we don't need to add one to the hundredths column.

I don't know if my spacing on identifying the columns will be retained, so the tenths column is the first one to the right of the decimal. There is an 8 in the tenths column. The next column to the right is the hundredths column. There is an 8 in the hundredths column. In the column to the right of this, we have a 2, so we don't have to add one to the hundredths column. I get 0.88.

Good luck.

Round 6.724 to the nearest hundredth

Round 6.724 to the nearest hundredth The hundredth column is two to the right of the decimal, in this case the 2. If the number immediately to the right of it is 5 or greater, we would add 1 to the 2. Since it is 4 or less, we don't have to add 1 to the 2 and the answer is 6.72.

Good luck.
