Can I change input mode manually?

Without a remote controller, you may have limited options to change modes on your Apex digital TV. However, you may be able to change the mode by using the buttons on the TV itself.

2. Look for the "Menu" button on the TV and press it.

5. Use the arrow buttons to select the input/source that corresponds to your DVD player.
6. Press the "Enter" button to confirm the selection.
7. Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu.

There is usually a switch on the back of the DVD player to choose either channel 3 or 4. You will need to use the TV's remote not the direct TV remote. To change the source or input to the correct inpit mode on the remote select input then select the input mode that you plugged your DVD into ( tie. HDMI 1 or 2 ) then turn on DVD that should do it

As long as your cables are all connected, on your remote you need to change SOURCE or INPUT to change what device is sending the info to your TV. Make sure your DVD is on. The CD/DVD should auto start. If not, just push play on either the remote or the device. Then when you are done push the Input or Source button again to switch your TV back to TV Mode. Yor "NetCommand" TV remote is a wondrous thing, capable of throwing off anyone.

When the 'Device Selection Menu" is dispayed, and only when the device icon is highlighted,
does the key work, and it also only works when the remote is in "A/V Receiver" mode -
not in "CABLE or DBS" mode, nor "VCR" mode, nor "DVD" mode.
So, (1) set the NetCommand remote to "A/V Receiver" mode
(2) bring up the Device Selection Menu, using the key on the remote
(3) highlight the Satellite receiver input icon (highlighted with a Yellow outline)
(4) press GUIDE on the remote, to swap the analog digital setting.

Also displays ChannelView for Antenna 1 and Antenna 2 - you may have accidentally
set the TV to get its input from the wrong Antenna.

If your TV has lost memory of its DBS source, you may have to re-teach the TV (using the remote)
that the DBS (Digital Broadcast Satellite) input exists, and to which input its connected.

going to have to get a universal remote with input button on it, or tv/vcr button, had same problem!!

I hooked up a Pioneer DVD player to my TV and when I play a DVD the volume cannot be controlled by the TV. It just plays at one level and on the louder side. When I'm watching regular TV and the DVD player is on and playing a disc I start to hear the DVD soundtrack at the same time as the whatever I'm watching on TV. I should not be able to hear anything until I switch over to Video 1. Any suggestions?
