    Go to www.surebonder.com and in the top left corner search for the Surebonder #5 staple. They will work in your Swingline power 1000 and 34201 stapler. Here are the exact part numbers with leg lengths for your convenience:

    44038 = 3/8"
    44014 = 1/4"
    44012 = 1/2"

Went to the local hardware and read the labels. The store brand fit and works as good as the original staples. The 1000 has outlasted several of the new fashion staplers. And the local hardware store is an Ace Hardware.

    22277 on upper right of red box. Ace, staples, heavy duty, 1000 per box are on the front of the box. 5/16" 8 mm are in a small green box. Bar code 82901 22277. Go to www.acehardware.com enter 22277 in search box on left of screen, enter go, and that is the product I am using. Goodluck

You may find them at True Value, under the True Value Part # 1/4" is part # 659857, 3/8" is part # 660426. Swingline is out of business, but these staples are comparable and will work in the Swingline model 1000 heavy duty stapler.

I have a 115 v Swingline Electric Staple Gun. It is a model 34201. I went to Ace with the gun and could find no staples that had the right width. The width mesures 1/2" and I would like several leg lenths. None of the staples at Ace were 1/2" wide, all were smaller. Any ideas?

    34201 also uses the Surebonder #5 staples. Please see above.

Powershot, heavy duty, forward action, staple & nail gun will not shoot staples

If you are referring to a Swingline powershot model 1000, you may try using the following staples for best results: True Value part # 659857 for 1/4" staples or True Value part # 660426 for 3/8" staples. You may also find these staples at Sears under the Sears part #: 1/4" is part # 74417 and 3/8" is part # 74418. I hope this helps, often times, using an incorrect staple will give you undesirable results.

I am luking for staples for swingline- power gun 1000

Go to your local Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, or any other hardware/home store... in the nail/fasteners aisle.

Many staple manufacturers make them, sold by box of 1,000 and up. Just check what number gun they fit.

(example: box states "fits no. 800, 900 and 1000 staple guns.)

As long as "1000" is part of the list, they'll fit.
