93 sts upper dashpad removal

HI,

Ok, you dont remove the dash or upper dash pad for this job. You remove the lower trim panels underneath the left and right side of the dash, remove the center console if equipped, then pull the front carpet back and remove the air ducts going to the back. Then you remove the heater core housing and separate to remove the heater core

You have to just about pull the whole dash out !


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front floor kick-up panel. Refer to Kick-Up Panel Replacement - Front Floor in Interior Trim.



2. Remove the cover from the I/P electrical center.



3. Remove the HVAC CON (HVAC controls) MiniFuse?® #27 from the I/P electrical center.



4. Remove the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.



5. Remove the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to steering column bracket retaining screws.



6. Reposition the IPC to better access the LH temperature valve electric actuator.

Is yours manual or automatic HVAC system ? if you haven't done this before I suggest you take it to someone who has !

That's not a job you want to tackle. The entire dash has to be removed and then disassembled, piece by piece.

the dash tightens with basic 10 mm bolts dashpad is secured by flat phelliphs head screws in or trim and cornes of pad
check and replace if needed ur shifting fork also check to c if u clutch and pressure plate installed correctly grinding goin into gear sounds like it cant build a clutch in past ive installed a bolt through dash with a rubber stop on back to keep clutch pedal from coming so far foward towards the seat

remove the upper dash pad first, then the rest you can figure out.

you can't remove it but you can re-set the light

its part of the ever increasing safety features built into new and nicer cars like yours

I looked at all my cheat sheets to no avail
the only way to reset this light is with the use of a professional scan tool

STEPS TO REMOVE HEATER CORE IN 1996 ISUZU TROOPER

1. Remove battery cables.
2. You have to remove the upper dash pad on this paticular year model. with a 10 mm socket and a 1/2 inch extension remove the 5 retaining bolts. Remove the blower assembly under the passenger side of dash.
3. Remove passenger side seat and center counsole.
4. Drain radiator.
5. Disconnect hoses from now exposed heater core.
6. Turn it 180 degrees and slide out.
7. Replace in reverse order.

There are four or five screws you have to fold the windshield down to get. Then there are usually two or three from the front going into the dash. You'll probably have to take the dash off too to get the defroster duct out.

Just found this one that you posted....

Pretty simple (if you haven't done it already!!!).

First thing, if you can remove your steering wheel, that will help a lot!! If not, and it is titlt, tilt it full down.

Next, remove the lower steering column plastic, then the dash bezel (the plastic part). Don't remove the gauge assembly....

Next, the 5 or 6 screws holding the dashpad on. Once those are removed, you have to fanagle that dashpad out....pulling and keeping it evenly leveled. It will pop loose. When it does, kinda lift up and towards you, then tilt it down...you will see what I mean when you get to this point. The only thing holding it in place is metal clips....they across the front of the dashpad.

When you put it back in, same thing, fanagle it into place and then push with a little force to pop the clips and the dash into place.

That's it!

no I would nt do it your self you have to drop the sterring column take out the center console it roughly a 8-9 hour job/sorry to tell you that Please rate myresponse thank you very much
