You could use system restore, this option is shown when the computer starts (after BIOS POST).

if you want to do the factory default setting then you need to install the operating system with the help of recovery cd's.

if you have the recovery cd's you need to connect the usb external cd/dvd drive to the computer.

if you don't have the recovery cd's you can get it from www.hp.com or you can call hp telephone support they will help you out.

try pressing f11 on boot up to see if you have a recovery manager insalled

turn on the pc and hold F11 when the display turns on
