I have a Longines Lungomare L3.633.4. The chrono reset counter pusher has fallen off and I can't find a replacement anywhere? The cheapest quote I had was 400 pounds not really worth doing?

Absolutely worth doing. It is a premium make and a $1,200 watch. They are nearly $700 used on the secondhand market.

I WOULD LIKE TO ITS TRUE VALUE

mcdevito75 here, Many factors figure in the value of a watch, Of course you have a NAME watch Longines which helps a great deal, First, if the hands are thick, the watch is before 1969, if they are thin, anywhere after 1969, Original strap or band conts, a good, good replacement band is ok. the appearance of the watch, no scratches opr buffing, scrapping on the caseing, no scratches or cracks in the crystal (glass) of course being vintage there will be some evidence of age, and lastly time keeping, if your Longines works well keeps time all day, I estmate it"s value, anywhere from $125.00--------- $200.00. You can also check a small watch repair shop in your area or jewelery shop, they will usually give a rough estmate of value for free.

Face almost unreadable;can only adjust winding back;stops intermittently.

Hi Murbilpov,

thank you for using fixya, you have a very fine piece of jewelry. it appears that your watch needs cleaning right on the knob and adjust mechanism. as per a service document from longines, a possible build-up or a broken first gear may cause this issue.

you may refer to their official statement when it comes to cleaning and having the watch repaired.

1) Where should I send a Longines watch that needs to be repaired, adjusted or serviced?If your Longines watch needs to be repaired, adjusted or serviced, werecommend that you bring or send it (well padded and by registereddelivery in the latter case) to your nearest Longines authorizedservice centre. You will find its address in your guarantee booklet oron our website in the Customer Service section.
2) Is the repair of a Longines watch that is more than 20 years old still possible?Yes, we still repair vintage watches at our head workshop in St-Imier.
However, without having the watch to hand, it is impossible for us tojudge its state and to know if all the necessary spare parts for therepair are still available.
Therefore, we kindly suggest that you send your watch via the nearest Longines authorized servicecentre to the Longines head office in Switzerland. Upon receipt andafter analysis of your watch, we will send you our comments and a priceestimate for the repair of your watch.
3) How often do you recommend having a maintenance service carried out on a Longines watch?We would like to draw your attention to the fact that a watch used daily is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week non-stop.
The frequency of the maintenance service depends on the type of watch, the climate and the care taken by the watch wearer.
In general, it is necessary to have your watch controlled andserviced at least once every 4 - 5 years, just like any other precisemechanical device. This guarantees the reliability and rate precisionof your watch.
4) Which operations are included in a complete maintenance service?The following operations should be included in the price of a complete maintenance service:
– complete dismantling of the movement, cleaning, oiling, reassembling, regulating and the checking of functions;
– repair or replacement of movement components that are either worn or faulty;
–replacement of the following parts: glass, crown, push-pieces, sealsand battery if a quartz calibre (parts included in the price of theservice, with the exception of shaped mineral glasses and sapphirecrystals);
– restoration of the water-resistance (if a water-resistant model);
– refurbishing of the case or bracelet (two-tone, gold-plated and PVD-coated cases and bracelets, cleaning only);
The above service standards are only valid for the Longines head office in Switzerland.
5) Which operations are included in a partial maintenance service?The following operations should be included in the price of a partial maintenance service:
– during each partial basic repair, Longines undertakes to check theregulation of the movement and replace the glass (if necessary), thepipe, the crown, the push-pieces, the seals and the battery in the caseof a quartz movement (these parts are included in the price, with theexception of shaped mineral glasses, sapphire crystals, and restorationservices carried out on the dial, case and bracelet. Parts made out ofnoble metals will be invoiced separately);
– restoration of the water-resistance (if a water-resistant model) and cleaning of the case and bracelet;
Any repair that necessitates the replacement of a part, or any servicementioned in point 7 automatically involves a partial basic service.
The above service standards are only valid for the Longines head office in Switzerland.

Hope this helps, should you have other questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

regards,

voodoo
