I have a RCA L32WD12 that my dad got for free 2 years ago. Initially the input board was not plugged in, and the thing took a half an hour to fully power up and receive picture. We plugged in the input board, and my dad decided to just leave the TV on through the day every day, and not fix it. However, 2 yrs later, the thing takes much longer to turn on now than it used to, and yesterday it started blinking sporadically(backlights and power led). So i showed up with my meter, and found a voltage document online. I verified voltage from the main power board, however, does RCA use 2 24v positive leeds to drive the display, or should I be seeing negative 24v on my one of my pins from the main power board? I inspected everything except the board under the cage, and all looks well. I also unplugged the backlight drive to see if there was an issue there. What should my next steps be? IT seems the higher the temp of the tv, the better chance it works.

This TV is not internet ready (either wired or wireless). However, you can connect it to a set-top box (like the Logitech Revue or an internet-connected Blu-ray player that can access Netflix) using HDMI port. Alternatively, you can use the TV as a monitor for your computer (VGA) and watch your Netflix streaming video that way.
I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells (note: the HDMI ports on the L32WD12 do seem to be capable of understanding content from a computer on that input.)
If you do get the backlights OK, then the next place to look will be the LCD panel driver board (T-CON), you will have to look at the board itself for the correct one for you TV. The worst case will be the panel itsef, very expensive. http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=RCA+L32WD12+&p=1
A few more questions-
Does the sub hum without anything plugged into it except for power? If it makes a real loud hum almost a squeal then I think the rca cable between the receiver and the sub is dead shorted and needs to be replaced. If it's more of a low level hum, then it's a ground hum caused by many things, ie........the receiver and the sub being on different power circuits in the house.......sometimes diconnecting the cable tv feed as it enters the room while the sub is connected and humming to see if it stops........the easy fix sometimes is using a 3 to 2 prong ac adapter but lifting the ground on such a powerful amp could be a fire hazard.
The Denon Curse.......the connectors that the input boards ( up and down if your receiver is in the normal position ), plug into one of the 2 main boards on the bottom. These connectors are suspect and need to be cleaned and re-soldered. Same with the board that runs from the input side of the unit ( right behind the front panel, running across the unit ) to the amplifier board. Denons were HORRIBLE for bad connections with these. This is an involved repair requiring the entire thing to be pulled apart. It is not an afternoon job for a do-it-yourselfer, take it to an authorized Denon repair shop, as I GUARANTEE that they have seen this problem many times for all models from 2000-01-02-03. Good luck..... Rob
I had the same problem happen this afternoon, so I took it apart, and the source of the problem is the key controller panel (behind the buttons). It's held in place by 2 screws, if you take the case apart, which is literally only 15 or 20 screws, and then loosen the 2 screws holding the key controller panel on, and then use a small screwdriver to space it out from the button caps. Tighten the screws, and put it back together. Just be careful not to let it go too far to the other side, or you'll have a problem with the menu going on and off at random, which is just as annoying.
Mine is doing the same thing. I have a 2 year old RCA 27" and I was told to do a "hard reset" I am trying it right now. All you have to do is unplug the power cord to the TV for 4 hours. See if that will help.
