The more resistance the elements have the quicker your water heats up. Resistance creates the heat. If a new element is 7 ohms, it is more likely than not that your elements are not the issue.
I'm not a heating expert, but according to the information I could find, Economy 7 utilizes cheap electricty at night, during off-peak hours (7 hours) between midnight and 7AM. Economy 7 costs about 4p per unit compared to peak electricity, which is about 10 to 15p per unit. If you do not have Economy 7, you can request it FREE of charge from your electricity provider. You will either have one meter with two readings or two separate meters. A two tariff electric meter will record the electricity used during off peak times, so it can be billed, separately, at a lower rate. If you have two meters, one meter controls on peak daytime electricity and the other controls your night time economy 7 electricity.
I would need to know what model Creda heater you have installed in order to determine how energy efficient it may be. I also will need the model so I can determine operating instructions. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps.
The wrong orifice was installed. Sta-Rite changed their blower configuration 3 years ago. Heaters older than that have a flat orifice that works with the older style blowers. Newer heaters are equipped with a tapered orifice. Mixing a flat with a new blower causes whistling. Mixing a tapered with an old blower causes whistling. Good luck!
If you are still getting power to the HW heater, more than likely the heating element has gone out. They can be easily changed from behind little panels on side of heater. Usually screw in.
Control is programmed to stop
running and not allow any
further cycles if it detects a
water heating problem (no
temperature increase detected
in heated Main Wash on
3 consecutive cycles). Control
blinks the Clean LED 7 times
repeatedly and disables the
Start/Resume key until
cleared.
Running Diagnostics clears the
control and allows it to operate
again. The water heating problem
must be fixed or the control will
stop running again. See potential
causes below.
Heater circuit problem:
■ Open in heater.
■ Open connection or
component in heater circuit.
■ Faulty heater drive circuit on
control.
1. Check operation of heater in
Diagnostics cycle.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect
power.
3. Check resistance of heater and all
components and connections in the
water heating circuit or heat dry
circuit.
Whe you turn the heaters on again after they have been off you have to keep them on maximum for 48 hours (both input and output dials) to get the bricks warmed up for regular working
