Hello & Welcome to FixYa Flashing clean light is reset by pressing two buttons in sequence 3-4 times, to reset your kenmore press these buttons in sequence: High temp wash-heated dry-high temp wash-heated dry Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
Your dishwasher will do this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water. Sometimes just a false reading.
Reset your console by pressing: high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry
When all the lights are on you are set in diagnostic mode. Just hit cancel a you will be able to run your dishwasher as normal. If this same light appears again then you have a bad element or thermostat.
Try hitting these buttons in this sequence <High Temp Wash><Heated Dry><High TempWash><Heated dry> this should reset the board and run a short diagnostic cycle. After that if the problem comes back you have another issue.
Control is programmed to stop
running and not allow any
further cycles if it detects a
water heating problem (no
temperature increase detected
in heated Main Wash on
3 consecutive cycles). Control
blinks the Clean LED 7 times
repeatedly and disables the
Start/Resume key until
cleared.
Running Diagnostics clears the
control and allows it to operate
again. The water heating problem
must be fixed or the control will
stop running again. See potential
causes below.
Heater circuit problem:
■ Open in heater.
■ Open connection or
component in heater circuit.
■ Faulty heater drive circuit on
control.
1. Check operation of heater in
Diagnostics cycle.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect
power.
3. Check resistance of heater and all
components and connections in the
water heating circuit or heat dry
circuit.
When
the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops
working and locks the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all
buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the
element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...
...all
the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2
minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.
If
the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit
(ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could
also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed
(slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door
when you close it).
If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...
