I would like to change the time and date on this stupid phone and the name of the person that I am paging but I can not. the phone itself has no such features. would this be a system problem or can i make these changes on the phone itself.
Setting date and time is an administrator function-you cannot do this from your desk phone. The administrator needs to go into voice mail service-enter mailbox # and passwords-to the #2-schedule-choose1 update system date and time.
Aslo to change the name labels for an extension is an administrator function. From mail console-choose- Menu-Sys program- Exit -More- Labeling- Directory-Extension-Enter extension #-Use letters on screen and letters on switchboard phone –letters in red on labels to enter name. Somewhere you should have a "letter key" in the Voice Mail manual, IF your administrator doesn't have them written on the console phone. Each letter is assigned a 2 digit number to spell out their last name or dept, whichever label you want.

A=21 B=22 C=23 D=31 E=32 F=33 G=41 H=42 I=43 J=51 K=52 L=53 M=61 N=62 O=63 P=71 Q=74 R=72 S=73 T=81 U=82 V=83 W=91 X=92 Y=93

Adminofall, you are GOLDEN!! We cannot find an Admin manual for this problem child we call our phone system, and it is SOOOO irritating to transfer a call to "Bob", and have the display read "Beverly", because nobody knows how to do anything with this mess!

How to change the time and date on the phone
Thank you for posting the answer. I'm having trouble though with the lettering system. Using the MLX20L Console, the screen displays a few letters, and I can't seem to find out how to display the rest of the alphabet.
If I try using the Letter Key, the number punched in is displayed instead of the corresponding letter. Any idea what I can do?
