I'm having an issue where if I open Outlook on my PC, then any read email no longer shows-up on my iphone. Are there any settings in Outlook that need to be adjusted to address this? Or how can I fix?

You need to select the "leave a copy of the message on the server" box in the mail setup
What version of outlook are you using?

Can you get your iphone to sync your emails to outlook?

Yes. It takes a few steps but its worth it once you get it setup.

There are detailed instructions at PCMag.com, follow the link below:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2329295,00.asp
NOTE: These instructions are for syncing an iPhone 3G to Outlook and Vista. If you have different systems then you will most likely still be able to find a solution with a simple search on the PCMag website.

EMAIL SYNC TIP: If you regularly read email on several devices (desktop computer, iphone, laptop, etc), you may benefit from being able to read emails on one device without pulling them from the server. This allows you to access & download the same emails on several devices without the need to physically sync your devices. Even better, it's incredibly simple to do! Here's how to do it:
- Open Outlook on your computer.
- Click "Tools"
- Click "Accounts"
- Click to highlight the account you'd like to modify.
- Click "Properties"
- Click "Advanced"
- Under "Delivery" make sure there is a check in the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on server"
You now have to options to choose from. I recommend using the first one "Remove from server after ____ days"
Just check the box to enable this option. I have mine set to remove the emails after 10 days. I will generally open outlook on each of my devices at least once during a 10 day period. (As you know, once you open Outlook, it downloads the emails to your computer.) I never miss an email!
Good Luck!

When I sync the outlook calendar to my iphone, one of two things happens. 1. If I put an all day event in outlook, it syncs to the iphone a day earlier (both otlook & iphone are on same date &...

Make sure time-zone is the same for both iPhone and the computer.

On iPhone setting > Mail,Contacts,Calendars setting > Time Zone Support, make sure you are choosing the city where you are in.

Otherwise, make sure you have updated the iTunes to 7.5 or later.

Update to iTunes 7.5 or later to resolve this issue. If you're not able to update, continue reading for other options to resolve the issue.
Each Outlook calendar event has an internal property known as "Message Class." When some Outlook plug-ins are installed (such as Live Search Maps), the setting for the Message Class property can change from its default of "IPM.Appointment" to something else. iPhone and iPod touch are only able sync calendar events with the Message Class set to "IPM.Appointment," therefore any calendar events created after installing certain Outlook plugins may no longer sync.
To verify this, examine the property of the Calendar event items for MS Outlook and see if the Message Class shows something other than "IPM.Appointment" in any of the calendar events. To view the Message Class property for your Outlook Calendar events, add the Message Class field as one of the columns in the Current View using these steps:
  1. Open Outlook Calendar on the computer.
  2. Choose View > Current View > Events.
  3. For Windows Vista, choose View > Current View > Customize Current View.
For Windows XP, choose View > Arrange By > Current View > Customize Current View.
  4. Click the Fields button and choose All Appointment fields from the pop-up menu in the "Select available fields from" section.
  5. In the "Available Fields" column, select "Message Class" and click the Add button.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK.
Now verify that all your calendar events are showing "IPM.Appointment" for the Message Class column. If you have calendar events showing a different value other than "IPM.Appointment" you will need to perform the following steps to fix the issue.
  1. Uninstall any Outlook plugins such as Live Search Maps or other plugins which change the default Message Class "IPM.Appointment" to some other value. Once the plugins have been removed, verify if those calendar events revert back to the Message Class of "IPM.Appointment" so that you can sync the calendar data to iPhone/iPod touch. If you are able to sync, try adding the plugins back one at a time and verify that you are still able to sync.
  2. If removing the Outlook plugins does not change the Message Class value for the calendar events, manually change the Message Class value of those calendar events to "IPM.Appointment." For more information on Message Class and how to change the Message Class fields/value, refer to Microsoft's KB article 201087 How to update existing items in an Outlook folder to use a new custom form
Good luck!

How do i get my outlook EMAIL(not Exchange) to sync w/my iPhone?

Download the latest iTunes to your computer . Set it up to sync with Outlook . Then re-sync it.

Use iTunes to sync settings from Outlook (non-Exchange)

If you are using Exchange, please see the Exchange ActiveSync guide.

To sync email account settings from Outlook to the iPhone via iTunes on your PC, do the following:
1. In iTunes, under Devices, select iPhone. (If your iPhone has been activated, iTunes will automatically display this view.)
2. Click the Info tab.
3. Check the boxes for the items you want to synchronize. In the Email and Calendar lists, verify that Outlook is selected.
4. In the lower right-hand corner of the iTunes window, click Sync. The selected information will sync with iPhone.

If you did not store your password in Outlook, use the following steps to store your password on your iPhone:
1. On the iPhone, press the Home button.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Mail.
4. Under Accounts, tap the desired account.
5. Under Incoming Mail Server, tap Password. The keyboard is displayed and a cursor appears in the Password field.
6. Type your password and tap return. Your password is saved.

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Speaking of syncing iPhone with Outlook, you can take advantage of iTunes to sync contacts. sync-iphone-outlook-contacts-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-3-0.jpg
  1. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable, and launch iTunes.
  2. Click iPhone icon, and choose Info the Summary Panel in left sidebar.
  3. Check Sync Contacts with, and choose in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Apply at the right bottom to start syncing iPhone contacts with Outlook.
When the sync is finished, the contacts will show up in the Outlook contacts. Besides syncing contacts, you can also sync iPhone calendars and mails to outlook as well. But if you have noticed, the sync of iTunes is an annoying issue among iPhone users as during the sync of iTunes, the application may erase the available files in their iPhone.

How to sync contacts from iphone to outlook 2003?

Hi,

When you connect your iPhone to the PC that you always sync with, Go to Info tab, Check the box Sync Contacts with: and select Outlook. Then make sure that you check the box Put new contacts created on this phone into the group: and select a subfolder in your main contacts folder.

This way, all the contacts from your iPhone will be saved into another folder in your main contacts folder of your Outlook PST.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
Sandeep
