Text messaging I cant seem to get my phone to stop sending picture messages even though I am not trying to send a picture. It is getting annoying since some of my friends cant recieve picture messages.

do you by chance have a cell phone threw a company you recently canceled? That's what it sounds like if so contact that carrier or try typing help into the message and sending it. To see where to go.

Just an fyi, sounds like a common issue.. as I have the same issue all of a sudden. So all the mumbo jumbo about its "probably" this or that is wrong. It's the phone. Also I updated the software and firmware... n that just made it worse.

hey steven sc480 i experienced the same problem on the samsung a877 where the phone wont send anything. i finally learned after a while that the only solution to the problem is to restart it. its very annoying but u just have to accept it or upgrade to a new phone. the model i had which was the impression was notorious for its pink screen of death where the phone sends so many messages it just decides to turn the screen pink. but anyway i think that may be a relation in some of their phones. i know its annoying but i just got used to it. sorry

by using the internet
it worked and i'm already texting away!

Then it shouldn't be the phone call your provider and tell the tech the problem.

Text messages are for text only. Pictures must be sent using Multimedia Message (MMS).

The phone allocates a certain amount of storage for messages on a whole. Even though there may still show space available for text messages, you have hit an invisible "limit" and the phone is now defaulting to MMS messages because there is "room" there. Delete a fair amount of messages and you should be able to start sending regular text's again.

I have the same problem which is very anyyoning , maybe its some problem with the phone.
