Hello! I am 45 years old and enjoying planning our first kitchen renovation. I love to cook and always wanted a double wall oven. I am looking at two models:
Thermador SEC302BP which is discontinued and available for $2899 or the
Dacor E0230SCH which is available for $4000.
I see this as a major purchase and I want this item to be highly durable over the long term. I read a few comments on your site about the Dacor model that are making me doubt that it is a good solution for us. I would bery much value your expert advice. What would you recommend? Would you go with a different brand / model?
Many thanks for your advice.
Well in my professional opinion if I only had those two to chose from I would go with the Thermador unit Why ??? From a service point the parts are readly avib. and the replacement parts cost is less then the Dacor. from my recent repairs the Thermador is more of a heavy duty unit as far as the most options I think Daycor has it beat. I own Gaggenau units and love to cook as you it is just what I wanted. Just remember you get what you pay for and the best match is the unit that will give you the options that are most important to you Hope this helps.
