Polaroid FLM-3228 I have had the set just over 1 year. There are 2 destinct vertical lines that appear when the color is either black or white any other color and they are not there. Both are about 6 inches in from each side. The lines are about 1/2 inch wide. Any help is greatly appreciated.

32''LCD TV Polaroid FLM-3201 - picture crackling and color fading

Sounds just like a loose solder connection. The trick is finding it. I would start with the microchips and the large transformer. Otherwise, it could be a capacitor starting to short out. I would give both options a 50-50 chance to be the problem.

Sounds like the back light is out, and the unit needs servicing. You can check this by shining a flashlight close to the surface, and if some image is seen, the the back light is the cause. Else the LCD driver is gone.

Polaroid 42" lcd has a distinctive verticle red line

you need to return the set where you purchased it, my humble opinion is replace it with a name brand that you know makes tv`s
for a living, ie; sony , hitachi, etc. when those "off" brands break there are many that have no access to service manuals or parts in this country, yours is one of them.
