Maytag Neptune MAH4000 Motor Conversion Kit Instructions

I got my new Motor Conversion Kit today through the mail but it didn't include the instruction sheet on how to install the new motor and board. Can't figure out how new wiring harness on the motor is supposed to connect to the control board. Anyone have a copy of the instruction sheet? The instruction sheet is Maytag Part #16022060.

    Uhhh, what you sent me doesn't help. I need to know how to install the new motor and board. I cannot see any place where the new wiring harness on the motor connects to the new board.

    Thanks sooo much! Got it back together and haven't washed a load yet but seems to be working okay. I have never seen a plug connected to a circuit board that way before. Wished I would have taken other posters advice about the mounting bolt ... my thumb is sore but I finally got it in. Thanks again.

    one thing you have the model listed under a MAH5500 but you say you have aMAH 4400 what is the complete model # i see to diffrent versions here and want to get you the right one

The kit comes complete with an instruction sheet and an adapter connector. Just follow the instructions. Call Maytag if the instructions are missing.

Check if the "locked"or "door locked" light comes on. If it does not, you need to replace the wax motor in the door lock assembly and the machine control board, which is inside the control panel. The control board is expensive, so instead of buying the whole control board, if you're good in electronic repair and soldering, try checking ebay for the control board repair kit. Search for "MAYTAG NEPTUNE WASHER R11 Q6 REPAIR KIT". It has all instructions how to do the repair. Good luck!

Hello,

Usually, the LR or 'Locked Rotor' indicates a problem with the motor / motor control board or MBC. The MBC is located near the floor on the right side. See www.neptunehelp.com for disassembly photos. The original MCB's had a high failure rate so Maytag redesigned the MCB and the motor. The motor conversion kit is part number 12002039, which includes the new motor, MCB, harness and takes about an hour to install. You can inspect the MCB for either a blown 10 amp fuse or if you see components that are burnt or discolored. If either of these is the case then you will need the motor conversion kit.

In addition, as your Neptune ages you might notice the spin cycle getting louder to where it will sound like a jet plane taking off. If this is the case then you can replace your bearings and seal kit. See www.neptunebearing.com. You can also rent a special Neptune bearing tool called the tony tool which includes the use of a DVD that shows you how to take apart Neptune, replace bearings and install the 12002022 seal kit.
