Panasonic cinemavision 1080i hdtv

If you are using the remote, try changing the channels manually from the set. If you are using a Hi Def box, use component cables and connect to a Input.

The power light is just blinking red on my panasonic 1080i hdtv. cant even switch it off using the power button. picture and sound come on for about a second when the tv is switched on after power cord...

The power light keeps flashing and the tv won't turn on. If you unplug for a minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic 1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old.

We have a PT-47WX51CE panasonic cinemavision hdtv 1080i and the colour is off. We see separated mainly green and magenta and the picture is warped with some lines.

Hi,
All that mess in picture is due to failure of convergence output chips in this tv.
Replace convergence output ICs (two ICs) to solve picture problem. Required ICs are available in Part Store, click the link to have price info.
Thanks.

Bad color then no power on 51'' panasonic cinemavision

Check the power light for blink code--usually if this model shuts down the power light will blink in a sequence--3 blinks a pause and 3 blinks is short protection--usually means a convergence circuit problem.

Let me know what you find--I am here to help.

if this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Replaced convergence chips, have new problem

Did you check the 2.2 ohm 2watt resistors? As often one or two will blow when the old ICs fail. The 3 blink error is indicating a problem with the convergence circuit still.

Thats the error for the convergence. The following repair kit will usually repair that. The kit contains the parts and instructions with pictures on how to do the repair. Heres a link to the kit for your model. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/panasonic-projection-tv-convergence-repair-kit-2/cName/convergence-repair-kits

When turning on my panasonic cinemavision tv, it makes a click sound then the power button light flashes red three times, no picture comes on the screen, any ideas what should be done?

Most likely a power supply failure although the flashing of the LED a fixed number of times may point to something else such as a lamp failure. If you can find a forum for this series, you may find a Panasonic tech who can give you a better read on this.
