HP Pavilion ze2000 Laptop won't turn on

HP Paviilion ze2000 Laptop won't turn on. The battery has been poor for a while (about 10 mins charge) but now won't even turn on when plugged in. There are no lights coming on at the front of the laptop

Remove the battery. It may malfunction now. Turn on the laptop with adaptor power without battery. It should work. If the lap is not still working, you have to check the adaptor, then mother board

Gently wiggle the power supply cord where it plugs into the laptop. These units are known to have a problem with the power supply plug being loose. If the battery only had 10 minutes of juice then it sounds like you must have been using it with plug in power supply, and if the laptop is moved around while plugged in it could develop this common problem. My ze2000 is four years old with no problems, but it has always remained in one location.

I was using my hp pavilion ze2000 laptop when it when off yesterday, i tried to turn it on after that and even the lights won't show any sign of it turning on

Does it work when plugged in? I have seen alot of laptop do this because the cmos battery has died. Try having it replaces. Good Luck.

Take the system memory out and clean the brass contacts, then reseat the memory and try to boot the PC up again.
The memory is located behind a panel underneath the laptop like this >>>>>>

HI,

If your laptop won't start then remove the battery from the back and just connect your Laptop with the power cord and press hold then power button for 1min.This will help you fix the issue.Incase your laptop turns on but takes lots of time to show the desktop screen then you will have to repair the windows with the recovery disc given with your laptop.
