Clothes stuck inbetween basket on Maytag Bravos washer

the basket is stuck on the center shaft causing overload condition try pulling up on basket as washer is filling if not may need new basket and/or transmision

This could be a lot of things. One of them is the belt on the bottom that connects the transmission to the motor, of course it could be the transmission/clutch.

Washer not starting Cycle:
I would have to slam the washer lid before the washer recognized the lid was shut.
What I did to fix:
1. Ref the link below for Schematics

2. Looking at the Lid Lock section of the Schematic:
Place a jumper between pins 2 and 3 of J15
This engages the 1st switch (Lid switch) so, I don't have to slam the lid anymore
3. Since my Lock switch (2nd switch), which is engaged with a magnetic, is working, my work is done.
If you find that your machine is still not starting the cycle after jumpering pins 2 and 3, you will need to replace the Lid Lock mechanism or ref the above link for temp bypass.

Error codes are given whenever the washer has a problem. Could be overuse of soap to overloaded clothes. Who knows? You ain't said what the error code is. Their are several styles of these machines. The Oasis, the Bravos, and the Cabrio are all tailored after the Fisher and Paykel washers. I have written a tip which features the error codes HERE

Their could be something between baskets in the pump. Remove the inner basket and inspect pump.
