Nokia N95 wont display Log

All over a sudden, my Nokia N95 has stopped showing the log. I can nolonger view, for example, missed calls, dialled numbers, received calls. This is by pressing the green call button or by going through the menu to applications then to 'log'. Please help.

    Problem not sorted out. I switch phone everyday at bed time. Thanks for the effort though!

    the log is under applications as it is supposed to be, under it, there is "Recent calls"; "Call duration"; "Packet data". Under Recent calls, we have "Missed calls"; "Received calls"; "Dialled numbers". Now, none of these last three is openning.

    Looks like the best solution! However, encountering problem while downloading "NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe" to my PC! It is stated that the size is 15MB, while any attempt to download gives you 368 KB which in turn doesn't run! could the software on Nokia site possibly be corrupted? I have even tried accessing it through Nokia PC Suite!

I did a hard reset, then restored my backup.

i noticed that when i restored my Settings, the problem recurred. so, after doing another Hard Reset, i restored everything EXCEPT Settings, then manually did the settings one by one.

Resetting to factory settings will probably sort it out. But you might loose the data stored on the phone. You'll find the reset in the menu, tools, settings.
I'm assuming that you switch your phone off sometimes, if you don't, try a restart first.

    The Log, might have been moved to another folder.

    All the applications can be moved to folders. Check right through the phone.

    Check Menu/Log/Options/Settings/Log duration set it to 30 days, and Call duration to yes. Good luck.

    Otherwise I can only say, do an update of your phone software.

    you need your device’s product code. The code is printed on the white label beneath the battery and will look similar to this:

    CODE: 0520001

    Display your software version by pressing *#0000#

    Check if a new version is available. Go to:

    http://europe.nokia.com/link?cid=EDITORI...

    Read next bit of advise:

    WARNING

    When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:

    HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;

    PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;

    TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;

    CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;

    DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;

    THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.

    And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.

    Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.

    --------------------------------------

    It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.

    If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...

    I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.

    --------------------------------------

    More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.

    Before updating software you should check that there's a newer version of software available.

I have nokia N70 do not showing call recd, dialled and missed details though log setting are perfectly okay

Have you restarted your phone? If not try it. Restoring the phone settings to "Factory Default" is also helpful. This happens when you never clear the log files. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

Missed calls are not being logged

Clear the call log. it stores up to 20 (30) calls. Some firmware doesn't support overwriting.
