Hi,

A quick reply would be YES. They are normally available in any electronics supply store. They are about the same size as the old Sony Walkmans rubber belt. It would be preferable that you bring along the old belt so as to match the new one (as per sample).

    The belt should cost that much probably a few dollars. Pls see this site for reference.

    As to the service fee, honestly no idea as I'm on the opposite end of the globe. Though it should not be that difficult. If you have a fair mechanical aptitude, then it should be a breeze. At most tools that would be needed would be a + screwdriver to open the unit and a tweezer to assist you in holding the new belt while being fitted to the motor and drive pulleys.

Hi. If you are able to open, do so and check if you find a black rubber band that could have fallen off the tray. If you do just buy and replace. The band is is driven by some gears and helps open the tray and if it ages it gets damaged and cuts off. If the band is still intact, then see if the elasticity is still there and replace if there is no elasticity. If the band seems fine, then look at the gear near the end of the tray and try to open the tray manually.If you open the tray manually try see if there are broken or damaged gears. If non power the system and see if the tray closes. If it does then press the open button to see if it opens. If it does not, change the black rubber band that should work.

Unable to open cd tray on Philips DVDR7300H message reads :bolcked"
I just had the same problem. I opened up my player (hex key, allen wrench), removed the disc drive, the magnetic cover (regular crosshead screws) and the slide tray. The rubber band that connects to the motor to push the tray out was broken. I replaced the rubber band, put it back together and it worked perfectly. Hope that helps.

Dvd door stuck closed
Take the DVD player hold it tight in ur hand and give it a couple shakes,to losen stuck frame or the plastics warp.Plug it back in to see the DVD player drawer open and close now,not take the DVD player aparts check,if the the motor or the rubber band,not a dead motor or broken rubber band.

Looks like thin black rubber band broken...I found it after manually opening the door to the stuck drive tray...is this easily replaced?
Fairly easy to do if have the tools to get the case off and have a band the right size. However for the sake of few £/$ you might as just buy a new drive.

Rio HT2030 disc loader will not open
I have had the same problem. There is a rubber ban that acts as a drive belt to open and close the disc loader. i took the cover off and then the disc loader cover off to expose the bubber ban. Then i replaced it using two rubber bans from my daughter's braces and reassembled. Works great again.

there's a black band that connects the motor to the pulley that opens the drawer.....this band has been burst.

easy to replace by using a small rubber band.

just finished doing this with my one.

now the drawer opens and closes ok.

Tray will not open
put the machine in standby mode (ie switch power button on machine or remote) then, press and hold the STOP and CHANNEL UP buttons simultaneously. This will force the disk tray to open.
