For Sportline 915 all you have to do to turn on the heart rate feature is to press the reset button on the lowe right and put your finger on the meatl part. A heart will appear on the top right of the screen indicating that the feature is on.

You need to make sure you are in time mode. Now hold your bottom right button in for 2-3 seconds. You will see a heart pop up over the seconds. Now you will be able to take your heart rate.
AWESOME! That did it for me too....there was nothing in the instructions about this.
How do you change the time on this watch?

Manual for the 915 - when the time /date mode is showing (depress the mode key until the watch beeps) - your second indicator will start to flash - Mode Button will progress through the time changing function - St./Stp. will increase numbers Reset will decrease. Hope that helps.
Perfect...worked like a charm. Thanks!

I could not find any instructions on their web site but I suggest that you press the "mode" button (lower left) and try to find an options that says something like "HROff" try to set it to "HR On"by pressing the buttons on the right.
Then cycle through the modes to return to normal operation.

This is the part that initiates the monitor to calculate heart rate. It starts to measure heart rate once you press on the metal portion of the case. I have the part, I need to know where and how to put it in place after taking it apart to replace the battery.
