Make sure the video cables are properly connected. The cables that connect the DVD player to the TV should be securely plugged into the correct ports on each device. Double-check that the cables are not loose or damaged.
Check the input source on your TV. Make sure the TV is set to the correct input source that the DVD player is connected to. For example, if the DVD player is connected to HDMI 1, then the TV should be set to HDMI 1 as well.
Check the TV's settings. Some TVs have a "picture in picture" or "picture by picture" feature that may be turned on, preventing the main picture from showing.
Check the DVD player's settings. Some DVD players have a setting that controls the aspect ratio of the picture. Make sure this is set correctly for your TV.
Check the TV and DVD player compatibility. Some TV's are not compatible with older DVD players and this could be the reason for the lack of picture.
Connect the incoming antenna to the DVD player (look for connections on the back of the DVD player for Antenna In). Then connect the Dvd player to the Tv. Use the "out" connections on the back of the DVD player and the "in" connections on the back of the tv. You can use RCA jacks to connect the DVD to the tv, or any other type of connection available. Once the DVD player is connected to the tv, you need to set the incoming source on the television. Click on the source button until you find the one that has a clear picture. Dvd connections are usually listed as "aux 1 or 2" on the tv source choices. You will know when you choose the right one because the picture will come in on the tv.
If your tv has video in socket (yellow color)and audio in socket(white color),you will connect the dvd player audio video output. it will give give clarity picture. your tv have not av socketyou can connect your dvd player audio video output to converter audio video input. And then connect to converter RFout to tv Rf input(antenna socket)and tune the tv you wlii get picture.
is your TV connected to a receiver or DVD player? I want to know so that I can detect if the fault is from the video cord that connects your TV to the receiver or DVD player.
Or, you can connect a DVD player to the TV and see if there will be any picture.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to say above. Your TV not having picture might be a fault from the display board/ic inside the TV or it might just be a bad wire connecting from the TV to DVD player or receiver.
So try to check the wires at the back of the TV, to be know if its a wire fault or not.
Check your connections for faults, also some connections on TV's are for RGB inputs, so you might have to try another connector or if you can switch the DVD's output to RGB etc.
at the dvd player plug in the picture wire by av out, at the tv plug the yellow wire in av in.
The sound is the same sound out at the dvd player look for a L R this means left and right at the tv there should under av in next to the picture wire you pluge the soun in
hope this is clear to you
Amongst 3 audio and 3 video options on DVD, use only one for displaying picture on TV and one for getting sound.
Yellow Wire is for picture.
Red Wire is for sound.
White Wire is for sound.
Connect Yellow from TV to yellow at DVD
Red from TV to Red at DVD
White from TV to White at DVD
i cant see any problem with the connections. have you tried to connect the dvdr along with sky to another tv set? and did the same problem occured? if not, try connecting it the same way with another tv. and see if thesame problem would occur. if the same problem appears check if the connections from sky to dvdr scart if it is loose or not. try to clean the solid wire of the cable. if proble still persists dvdr is faulty. if not, defenitely there is a problem with the tv. and i suggest for you to have it checked.
