Simple. Remove the ink and printhead. You can remove printhead by pulling gray latch up and sliding printhead up and out. Clean printhead gunk off using warm running water. Remove any ink gunk on the right side of printer if you see any. Turn printer off and on. See if problem went away. If it did, try putting the cleaned printhead inside printer again. If problem comes back, seems like the issue is with a bad printhead. Below are video instructions on cleaning head manually. The printheads are not same. B210 printhead is not the same with HP 6500, but instructions are same.
errors like 0x is refered to the ink system failure, posible causes are clogged printhead usually photosmart print has a tool inside the machine that can clean the printhead: on the front panel or on the screen touch or press the set up menu/thats the button that has the wrench icon/go to tools then press ok/under tools look for clean printhead/after cleaning the printhead go under tools aain then look for align printer if you got alignment successful messae youre good to go..but if symptoms persist check your ink maybe it dried and run out/check ink level/reset printer by turning on the printer then while the printer is on uplug power cable at the back, wait 15 seconds then plug it back in...if you still have the replace printhead...
ink system failure message comes up due to some problem in inkjet mechanism. mainly we get it due to the bad printheads -hence remove the printhead assembly and clean the contact points . then try reinstallimg it ...............
If this does not help, repplace the printhead assembly.
Ink jet failure or ink system failure? I see the ink system failure often. If the cartridges are ok and properly inserted (check for clogs in the vents that can be cleared with a pin just in case), the printhead may be the problem. First remove the cartridges, lift the latch handle on the right and lift the printhead straight up to remove it. Clean the ramps on the side of the ink nozzles, the edge between the ink nozzles and the electrical contacts and the electrical contacts. Do not touch the contacts with your hands/fingers. To do the cleaning you need several lint free cloths or papers and distilled or bottled water. Dampen a cloth and wipe the electrical contacts from bottom to top; do not go past the edge between the contacts and the nozzles. Repeat until no ink remains on the contacts. Use another dampened cloth to clean the edge between the contacts and the nozzles. Wipe from right to left; repeat until there is no ink left on the edge. Finally wipe the ramps with another dampened cloth wiping "downhill" away from the ink nozzles until there is no ink left. Dry the areas with another cloth.
Then clean the electrical contacts inside the printer with another dampened cloth going from top to bottom. Then dry the area with a dry cloth. Return the printhead to the printer and lower the latch handle. Replace the ink cartridges and close the access door.
Reset the printer by turning it on and unplugging it from the wall outlet for at least 15 seconds before plugging it back in. Press the power button to turn on the unit if needed. (This should clear the error message.)
If the error persists, a new printhead may be required. Try the automatic printhead cleaning utility (part of the full software) at least twice before cleaning the printhead.
