There are some possible reasons for the no sound issue of player, player audio settings, HDMI cable connection error, Blu-ray discs damage or restriction, etc. If finally, you can't solve the problem, you can try Leawo Blu-ray Player for your urgent need to play DVD.

Hi there. i have a panasonic dvd-s53 , the power supply ic1021 is blown up , i need to know the number please. thank you.

I am not totally sure since you may not be able to read the number on the original IC - however C0DACZH00006 appears to be one number for Panasonic IC 1021 reference. (this is for the DVD-S47 but it seems to be standard type for this series).

I suggest you contact an authorised service centre or Panasonic directly, and provide the above number IC to them - along with the DVD player model number - if this turns out to be correct, you can go ahead and order the part. Not too expensive and it is not a surface-mounted component. It is available. I also recommend that you replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the SMPS - as several may have leaked, causing the demise of the IC. Don't just replace the IC - and touch up any dodgy solder joints in this circuit.

See how you go. No power supply is irreparable.

Daniel

It'll still be 480i, it'll just work on a 1080i input now. You can't make HD out of a non-HD source.
