Your HD settings may be too high, go to "display settings and change them, if your not on an HD tv, change the output to "TV" on the AV cord where it connects to your xbox, if you Are on an HD tv make sure the output is set to "HDTV" on the AV cord where it connects to your xbox, there is a little switch on the side that slides left to right

Ok I have a xnox 360 and when i plug the color coded cables into the color coded tv inputs i turn the channal to video 2 and i hear sound but i could not see anything? sooo what do i do?

Are you using AV or component cables?

*Solution for AV Cable*
Check to make sure the cable is fully plugged into the port. Having it even just slightly out of the socket will render no video. If this doesn't work, try plugging it into a different port on your television to make sure the port isn't bad. If you still have no video - the video part of the cable could be bad and you might need a new cable.

Also make sure that if your cable has BOTH component and AV connections available that the switch at the end of the cable near the Xbox is set to "TV" as opposed to "HDTV"

*Solution for Component Cable*
Also check to make sure that all the video connections are fully plugged in. If even one of them isn't plugged in fully, it could render no video. Also make sure that you have them properly plugged in to the right color. If you're just quickly connecting it to the back of the TV without proper lighting, it can be easy to confuse the blue and green connections.

When using component, make sure that the switch at the end of the cable near the Xbox is set to "HDTV" as opposed to "TV".

Not getting true surround sound

The only way to get Dolby 5.1 audio out of the Xbox will be via fiber optic cable from the Xbox to a Dolby Digital amplifier - which will output a decoded 5.1 signal to a 6 channel amplifier and 5 speakers and one sub-woofer. I doubt the Logitech speaker system has a Dolby 5.1 decoder built in with the amplifier for under $100, but I can't say for sure. If the Logitech has a an optical (or TOSLink) input, connect it to the Xbox and follow the instructions below.

To configure your audio settings, follow these steps:
  1. Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray.
  2. In the System section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Console Settings.
  3. In the Console Settings area, select Audio.
  4. In the Audio Settings area, configure settings for analog output or digital output:
    • Analog output settings:
      • Dolby Pro Logic II: Select this setting for stereo systems or Dolby Pro Logic II-compatible systems.
      • Mono: Select this setting for systems that do not support stereo output. Note If you have connected to Xbox LIVE and downloaded any AutoUpdates, the Mono option will not be available.
    • Digital output settings:
      • Digital Stereo: Select this setting to use digital stereo output.
      • Dolby Digital 5.1: Select this setting to use Dolby Digital output.
      • Enable WMA Pro: Select this setting to enable WMA Pro pass-through if your receiver supports the WMA Pro format.
Note You must use one of the following cables to support digital output:
  • Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable
  • VGA HD AV cable
  • S-video AV cable
  • Advanced SCART AV cable
  • Japanese HDAV D-connector AV cable

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!

Sound works but no image

This means the AV cable is not detected, try one of these...

1. Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.

2. Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.

3. If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.

4. If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.
