To remove the Top you need to pop small torx covers on each side at the top (near to front). Then unscrew the torx each side. the top will then slide back about 5mm.

Once the top is opened you will have a major task of removing all cables from control unity behind facia and the holding screws. Depending on the damage to the button/plastic you may be able to pop the button into place. It is also possible you may need to order a new control unit from hotpoint. I believe you can order online for minimum hassle.

Hotpoint wf740 aquarius 1400 v noisy banging during spin = dust

It could be a broken drum restraint spring, or a worn or broken. or loose shock absorber.
To check the springs, remove the top cover, and you will see the springs.
Another possibility is the concrete weight could be broken or loose.
You need to remove the lower rear panel of washer to check the shockers and concrete weight.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

How do i fit a drive belt on a hotpoint tumble drier

Hi, To fit the belt to your dryer you will need to remove the top of the appliance by removing the screws at the rear. Pull of the timer/control knob. Look inside the top of the t/dryer behind the control panel you will see little plastic stems which are attached to the facia panel. You need to knock these out to remove the facia. Once this is off then you can remove the the top 3 screws and the bottom 3 screws the front panel will now come off for you to place the belt on the drum and over the motor spindle. Becareful as the t/dryer will be very loose and will twist. it is easier to lay the appilance down on its back to stop everything falling about. Now you can put it back together in the reverse order....
Good luck.............

How to remove top panel and front facia on a Hotpoint Aquarius WDF451 washing machine

Un plug it. There should be small screws either at the bottom of the panel on the front or there is separate panel that comes off the top back. If the back is one solid piece top to bottom, then the control panel lifts out and hinges up when the two small cross tip screws are removed from the bottom outside corners of the control panel..

Hotpoint aquarius wf 620

A fault code of F-01 normally refers to a short circuit in the control board. The best way to find out is to gain access to the service sheet located inside the machine.

Look at the back of the machine. Along the top there should be 2-4 screws the hold the top in place. Remove these screws and pull the top backward to release it from the front. Remove the top. The service sheet should be taped to one of the support arms.
