Hello, we bought an Xbox 360 today along with the game Resident Evil 5. Problem was, the 360 said the game was unreadable. So we went to another town and bought the same game and decided to try it again. It STILL could not read it. We believe it's the console having problems...could it be? We bought the 360 from Walmart, and both RE5 games are from Walmart but one is from a different Walmart out of town. Help please? And thank you!
Is the xbox brand new or has it been modded in any way??
It's more than likely the DVD drive. Try a different game or 2 to be certain. If you are still getting that issue try running a CD based cleaner a few times. If that doesn't solve your issues contact Microsoft as a recently purchased console should be fully under warranty.

Well, we were thinking about just exchanging the one we bought for a new 360 Elite. We believe it's the console having problems, not the game.
Yes, the xbox is brand new from walmart. We have no idea how to mod it and whatnot. It's straight fresh out of the box from Walmart.
