Hitachi 32LD8700 - TV won't turn on although has power

Hi,

My Hitachi 32LD8700 seems to have developed a fault whereby the LED on the front of the TV tells me it has power (shows red - on stanby) but when I try to turn it on (LED should turn green), the LED turns green for about 3 seconds and then switches back to red??

Has anyone else come across this issue, I'm sure even where to start trying to get my tv to work?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The general problem with LCD type TV's is that the power supply fails. They are very sophisticated designs that are difficult to troubleshoot and generally best to just replace the module, but sometimes there is visible damage in some of the electrolytic capacitors (visibly bulged) and high voltage rated parts can be substituted.

I have a hitachi television L32HP04U A that won't come out of standby. When switched on it the LED will light blue and then blink blue and red.

Probably you should just disable the Standby feature, though it also depends on why it's in Standby. On some TVs, it's when it's been left on and idle for a certain period of time- basically the TV will turn itself off, or go into a lower powered state. It's possible it will not come out of it because the TV could be overheated, and needs time to go back to normal. Without know the specifics as to why the Standby happens I couldn't say, and it's also hard to say what the issue is with it coming out of it.

Go into the TV Menu and find Power Options. Set Power to Normal, or Quick Start (or whatever Hitachi calls it). If this is separate from the Standby Options, then disable the Standby option on its own.

Hitachi led TV model le24ecd05au switch on sometimes

It is with the fault to its main power supply regulator board itself. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

I have a Hitachi 32

You require a new power supply board, it is a stock fault with this TV. You can obtain the part on Ebay for #36.00.

Why wont my tv turn on

Hello
Do any indicator LED at it front panel lights up? If lights up, and the TV won't turn ON, the fault is with its internal circuit board. If not, the fault is with its power regulator board.
