If you mean the front striker pin you will need to remove the circlip up inside the spindle. You can see it through the two little holes just above the spring.
there is a selector knob on the side that controls the tool functions for drill only/hammer with drill/ and hammer only. make sure it is in the proper setting. If it still doesn't rotate then you have a gear or a broken selector. If no hammer then you have worn o rings or a stuck ram. try the selector first and if still no change please be more specific if no hammer at all, or no rotation even when selector moved.
Rotate the selector to the 4 to 5 oclock position, or the 7-8 oclock postion, push the red button in all the way with a screw driver and pull the knob out. Certain model hammers you have to rotate to a slightly different position to remove the selector, you will have to try one, if it doesn't work try the other.
sure it can, is it just not hammering or is it making a noise. If not hammering the o rings to replace cost about 15-20.00 plus labor, if it is making a funny noise then you might have a major problem.
