I have a Sylvania 20" Digital/Analog TV Model # LC200SL8. I want to program the remote for my Direct TV receiver to operate the TV so I only have to use the 1 remote for both the TV and the receiver. None of the codes supplied with the receiver manual work nor do any of the codes that came with a Phillips universal remote I also tried. Also, the code search procedure for both of these remotes (Direct TV receiver and Phillips universal) failed to find a usable code. How can I obtain a correct code for this model of TV?

have a 13" combo tv/vcr and only the vcr code gave me on/off and channel change and vcr controls. The volume and other menu options do not work. I have an old RCA universal remote so I am going to try an updated one to see if that solves the problem.

Just got a new 32"Sylvania LCD flat screen (LC320SS9). Dish remote codes to operate TV won't work but can still work satellite (can't turn TV off/on or control volume but can change channel on sattellite). I have the same problem. The Comcast guy came yesterday to set up my new HD box (which has it's own remote). The Comcast remote is supposed to operate the TV too.  None of the codes worked, so I am stuck using both remotes for the moment.  I may return the tv because of it. I have the same problem. I bought a 37" sylvania, and was told by customer service there are no codes; also, told by Cox Cable Tech he had same problem with 4 other sylvanias; customer service told me to try codes for Funai, Emerson, Symphonic and Magnavox; still no luck. Same problem on my Sylvania LCD320SS8-Comcast remote will not work on this tv. I called and emailed Sylvania and they say they do not support any remote besides their own- essentially telling me tough luck. Makes me want to return the tv, but everything else is good about it. Comcast was no help either-they want to charge me for a service call, but say it will not help-would like to ditch them as well.
