I purchased this vacuum from Lowes last July, it is now Feb '08 and I have had the power head spring clip break for a second time!
This design seems to be poor as our vacuum is used once every two weeks!
I will be calling for warranty service again (replcement head).
Does anyone know if Electrolux is coming up with a fix?...this has to be hurting their reputation as well as costing a ton of money?
Any tricks etc.
Thanks
Joe

The clip that secures the hose to the roller brush broke. It was falling off all the tome and broke. Can't seem to get a replacement
I have had the Electrolux Oxygen vacuum cleaner for less than a year. Already I have had it in the shop twice (warranty repair) for broken power clip connections to the power head. The warranty expires this month. I guess I'm screwed. I called the company, and they (lied) and denied knowing of an ongoing problem, as confirmed by others on this website. Class action lawsuit time?
Same problem...but unable to repair due to location. Bought it at a local Lowes but only warrantee dealer is 65miles away,
After replacing the power head and hose, the clip holding the wand to the bottom unit has broken. I've only had the vacuum 4 months!! The first part cost $77. I'm afraid the part to replace this newly broken part may add up to half of what I paid for the refurbished model in the first place! What a waste of money! It did work excellent as far as picking up pet hair on my carpets.
yes I also have exactly the same thing happen for second time..Bought it less than 6 mos. ago ...love the vacuum but very poor design on powerhead...need to find and order those plastic grey clips or this vacuum is useless to me.. what can i do I have ordered those clips beefore and am having hard time locating them again.. even had a new powerhead sent to me and same thing happened again tami in laporte, in help
