I just bough auniversal remote control rca im trying to program tv,to change channels ,but i dont know how to do it,i can get it to turn on and off but when it comes to changging channels it wont work.

if your universal remote control only works the off and on, you need to try another code besides that your using right now. if it helps, you can try doing some codes and turning off the tv. this usually only happens when your tv is not readily working as fast as it should be and you should give it some time for the remote and tv to synchronize. again, have patience and just try and try.

The most inexpensive solution, is to buy a universal remote. I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220) which works with Memorex TVs. I bought it at Walmart for less than 10 dollars.

I can only suggest that you Double check you have the connections correctly set ie. coax ariel to ,(dvd /digi box reciever ect...)
Also check again (& i know this is state the obvious)
your tv manual. IF you havent a manual do a google search for your tv (make & model) & search for a manual.
Ive have had a simmular experience when programming channels to a Vid-Recorder & when i finished the channels dissapeared.
I realised I didnt have the video set to the correct channel with the tv usually channel 9 or the highest channel on the tv.
So i waisted a good half hour for nothing.
THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO ORDER A REMOTE FROM MEMOREX. I HAVE TRIED FOUR DIFFERENT UNIVERSAL REMOTES AND CONTACTED THE MFGS HELP-LINES WITH ZERO SUCCESS. I FINALLY GOT SOMEONE AT MEMOREX TO ADMIT THAT THEIR REMOTE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL WORK ON THIS (MT2024) SET. "$88.OO".--- WHAT A DEAL FOR A NEW TV!
