I have M7310 phones with the complete system I can not seem to be able to activate our mail box system, we tried entering f:981 and F:983 however it says feature inactive

This would be forward no answer and forward busy. The settings are under the Capabilities section.

The mail box you want to change might be mail box 100 (general delivery). The general delivery mailbox can be attached to extension 250

Could be two things, there could be a general delivery mailbox attached to the system which is mail box 100, or the new service provider has a off premisis voicemail attached to the lines. if there is VM on the lines you should get a stuttered dial tone on the line indicating that you have a voice mail.

access your mail box press admin (or 8), press 6 for message notification, press admin (or 1), press phone (or 1) press chng enter the destination number and press ok press the Rls key when finished.

to reset the administrator pasword enter feature 985 press 9 at the password prompt enter 73738767793 (resetsmpwsd) and press ok or #,press yes to reset password. password should be defaulted to 0000. then try feature 983 120000 ok again.

1. Enter Feature 983 on a programming set
2. The display will show "LOG:", enter login password: "1020000"
3. Press the softkey under "OK"
4. Select the softkey under "MBOX"
5. Select the softkey under "DEL"
6. Enter the mailbox number (extension. you want to delete - 123)
7. Select the softkey under "Delete"
8. Press the RLS button to end.

Voila, now the mailbox is deleted.

Its the problem from the system.

Go to the programming of Norstar by Feature **266344 and the password is 266344.
Go to line datd or line and make dialling made as Tone.
It will fix ur problem.

Feature **266344, PW: 23646, Press top arrow until you can enter your ext. Press the top arrow again until you see "Fwd no answer" and press top arrow again until you see "Fwd to: None" and choose change. Enter your VM box. Press the bottom arrow (down) on right and see "Forward Delay" and change that number then press rls.
