I solved all puzzles but did not get all furniture and painting scraps. How do I get them now? I tried going back to resolve but doesn't help.

I did all the puzzles (without cheats) I found I am missing paint scrap Row 3 Column 3. I have gone back in the game but with the door open I cannot click on the sign to get the puzzle piece. I have solved the ball puzzle a dozen times and can get no scrap. This keeps me from the Puzzle Master and Art Decorator puzzles.

I did finally get it, I was looking in the wrong spot.

I had solved the problem previously though and didn't receive it.

If you've solved all the puzzles within the story then you'll have all the furniture and all the scraps

As there are more places to put furniture than furniture, some players mistakenly think that they're missing some items

Look down the right side of this walkthrough and you'll see Room indexes showing which item goes in which room
http://professorlaytonwalkthrough.blogspot.com/

Further, if you are missing any of the items listed, just click on the item in the walkthrough's index and it will show you where to find them

You can see a picture of the completed rooms here
http://professorlaytonwalkthrough.blogspot.com/2008/02/puzzle105.html

Similarly, if you've solved all the puzzles within the story then you'll also have all the painting scraps

Some players move the scraps around and end up hiding a scrap under another (so think they don't have all the scraps when they actually have)

You can see an illustrated step by step guide to repairing the painting here
http://professorlaytonwalkthrough.blogspot.com/2008/02/puzzle104.html

This should help you confirm whether or not you have any missing scraps

If you are missing scraps then the Painting Scraps index down the right side of the walkthrough will show you where to find them

Another common problem is players thinking that they've solved all the puzzles when they actually haven't (usually by incorrectly assuming that if the last puzzle number in the game's puzzle index is the last puzzle, then all the puzzles must have been found and solved)

The top screen of the trunk will show you exactly how many puzzles have been both found and solved

There are 120 puzzles within the story itself and, at best, you would've unlocked two of the bonus houses (for a maximum of 126 puzzles)

If the number of puzzles solved (as shown in the top screen of the trunk) is less than you expect there to be, then you have to very carefully look through the game's puzzle index to find any missing puzzle numbers

Nothing (besides some hint coins and conversations) can be permanently missed and either you're not missing what you think you're missing or you haven't solved all 120 puzzles within the story

Solving any jigsaw puzzle no matter how big

Big puzzles can at first seem to be very daunting, but when you complete it you feel a great sense of accomplishment. It doesn't matter if your puzzle is 50 peices or 1000 pieces using the same technique you are able to solve the puzzle no matter how intricate the image may be.

Always start by separating all the pieces according to whether they are edges or not, when you have separated all the pieces take the edges and start putting together your boarder. This helps give you a nice starting point and it gives you an idea of the size of the puzzle.

Once the border is completed if you are working with friends or family you can split up with image inside, like if its a landscape one could do the sky while another does the ground. I find it easiest to pull out all the pieces that go with the area you want to work on and lay them out facing you to see what matches.

After the big parts of the puzzle are completed the smaller things will begin to fall into place and before you know it the puzzle will be finished!

I am almost done with Professor Layton and the Curious Village. But I can't seem to find the last two pieces of furniture for Professor Layton. I have 16 pieces for Layton and 12 for Luke. Do I need to...

Check out the most popular walkthrough and down the right side you'll find a list of all the items and which room they go into
http://professorlaytonwalkthrough.blogspot.com/

This walkthrough also shows a picture of the fully decorated rooms

As you expected, you seem to be missing two items for Layton

Compare the list with what you have and click on the links for what you don't have to see where to find the puzzles for the missing furniture

Remember that if a puzzle is no longer in its original location then it can be found in Granny's Puzzle Shack

I have definitely solved every puzzle, I looked through the puzzle list, found I was missing 3 so I solved them and the happiness has not even passed the N.I have only 30 pieces of furniture, if that is...

Yes, there are only 30 pieces of furniture

These need to be correctedly allocated to each room in the inn (so that both Layton and Luke are completely happy with their respective rooms)

If you look down the right side of this popular walkthrough, you'll see which item goes in which room

How to arrange furniture in the inn to unlock puzzles?

Im really bad at describing things but I hope this helps xD

Oh, I though I'd mention that Im describing the DS game

Okay, First you need to have all the items for both Luke and Prof Layton.
This means that all the squares on the top screen must be filled up .
To get the characters opinion on the piece of furniture you first have to click on the furniture that you need an opinion on and then the characters name on the touch screen.Read what the character has to say and then move that piece of furniture to the other room and see what the second character has to say.

The character who has the highest opinion on the furniture should be the one to keep it.

I hope I've helped and Good Luck xD
