Our Sanyo DP32746 is just over a year old and has developed a shadow on the right side of the screen. The shadow is "L" shaped occupying the right third of the screen.

Either (on this plasma) a damaged/bad sustain board for left side of screen or a problem with the Display panel--set by model number is 5-6 years old so may or may not be worth fixing.
Its a Good Possibilty that its the New Color Wheel causing this,if the colors are not complete on the color wheel then that will be why you are seeing shadow on right hand side of screen.
I know I ordered color wheel for mine and had to send it back,it did the same thing.
I compared it to the old color wheel and the new one did not have Solid colors on it.
Can you see picture behind the shadow? or is it shadow and no picture?
Try moving a medium powered magnet (not one for picking up heavy objects and not a refrigerator holding one) over the distorted area. If that doesn't work, try a more powerful one. This worked for my Toshiba LCD. Good luck!
shadows at the bottom of the screen sound like moisture that was "wicked up" between the screen layers and dryed out leaving a stain. DO NOT get these screens wet, use nothing but a damp soft cloth; just a few drops of water running down the screen can cause a fairly large stain. Some people have suggested that they may be professionally cleaned, but the risk of damage is too great on the user level.
