My samsung phone has been fully charged. I try to turn it on, it says "initializing," then shuts down. When unplugged, it won't turn on at all. When plugged in, it shuts down, then blinks to the charging screen eery minute or so.

Are you sure it was fully charged before? Could you see the full battery bars?

It sounds like your AC adapter (the charger) has likely gone bad. The phone battery probably wore down, and when you plugged it into the charger, the charger couldn't charge it, so the battery remained dead.

Since the battery is not charged, you can't turn the phone on at all when it's not connected to the charger. And when you do connect it to the charger and turn it on, you get the intermittent charging because something inside the adapter has a faulty connection -- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

You can easily verify if the charger is the problem by getting a new charger (they're not too expensive) and seeing if the phone will work and/or charge with the new charger.

If the new charger doesn't fix the problem, post again here and we'll go from there, but I think the new charger will take care of it.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

Please remove the memory card and hold the power button down for 15 seconds. If that does not turn the light off, please remove all batteries from your device. Please stay away from the power outlet where the camcorder was initially charging. Thank you.

How do you fix your phone if it wont charge?
All you need to do is shut down your device, remove the battery if possible and use something small, such as a toothpick, to 'lever up' the little tab inside the USB port on your smartphone or tablet. Do so very carefully and gently, then reinsert your battery and plug it in again.

  1. Turn the phone off.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Plug in the charger.

I purchased the wireless charging pad for mic-q1005 to charge my Samsung galaxy s8 it worked once but not fully charging the battery it only charged it to 92 percent the second time I went to charge

Have you tried shutting the phone off for a few minutes and turning it back on?

Have you tried shutting the phone off and trying the wireless charging?

Do you have access to another wireless charging pad? (preferably a Samsung branded one).

You have bought a very inexpensive charging pad, sometimes you get what you pay for. . .

I would verify (go to your nearest Best Buy) that a Samsung wireless charging pad works. If it doesn't, you may have issues with your phone, if it does, buy a better wireless charging pad.

Samsung Galaxy S model SPH-D700 won't turn on, how can I fix this?

To reset the phone, it should be without power at all. So removing the battery, when the charger is connected, will not reset the phone. Then when the battery is dead, it could show up as if it is charged, because the voltage on the voltage sensor can become high enough, to indicate the battery is charged.
First, disconnect the charger, and remove the battery. Wait a few seconds and reinsert the battery. Try switching the phone on. If nothing happens, the most likely thing is you have a bad battery.
I hope there is no other issue.
Success.

My galaxy always thinks its plugged in to charge

I don't think anyone understands the initial question. The battery is fine and it even charges like it's supposed to. The question here is- how do you get rid of the icon in your notification box that is telling you that your battery is full? It seems to be stuck.
