I get a full frame exposure.

Makes no difference what lens I use.. I cannot see any damage or any iris abnormities, nothing sticking, It’s isolated to the viewfinder. ANY Ideas, Help Dan

An EF-S lens is designed for crop sensor cameras. A full frame camera can not use it as the mirror may crash into the lens when it flips up during a shot. That will be costly to repair,

As far as I know, you should use L series Lens to fit Full Frame Canon Camera (5D & 1D).

That would be no adapter, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Quantaray lens

You did not mention which lens. Some Canon digital cameras will only take EFS lens, others take both EF and EFS. Also there are other types of lens mounts made by Canon.

Does Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens fit canon eos rebel

Sigma makes their lenses with a variety of camera mounts. If you get the lens with a Canon mount then yes, it will fit any EOS Rebel camera body. A lens with a Pentax mount, for example, will not fit a Canon camera.

Error 01 in canon eos 5d

Err 01: Lens to body communication error
1.The camera to lens communication is somehow being interfered with could be a problem within the lens itself, possibly the camera body, or something as simple as a smudged fingerprint on the lens mount contacts,
2. Check the lens and the contacts
3. Also check below link if you need a canon eos 5d service manual

Will the lenses for a film camera (Canon EOS Rebel) fit a new digital body? Thanks.

Yes the Canon EOS lenses from film bodies will fit and work well on Canon digital bodies.
Depending on the Canon digital body you select the lens may have a 1.6 x factor. Meaning the focal length of the film lens will become a longer focal length. For an example Canon's 50mm f1.8 lens on the APS size digital sensor will translate to an 80mm equivalent. This is great for most people but, getting a good wide angle lens is a bit of a challenge, there has to be a tread off somewhere. There are Canon full frame cameras that this factor doesn't apply, for example a Canon 5D.

Where can i buy a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DL Macro AF Lens mount adapter for a canonEOS 500D

You can't, not as far as I know.

Getting functionally useful adaptors from any other brand to Canon EOS is difficult as the register distance from the sensor to the lens is the deepest of all current lens mounts. Adaptors therefore require expensive optical correction in order to preserve infinity focus ability and given that the adapted lens will still be substantially crippled most owners aren't prepared to pay for such an adaptor. In any case, the additional optical elements will reduce optical quality.

Due to similar electronics, it is possible to physically convert a Sigma mount lens to EOS by fitting an EOS lens bayonet but it's a skilled job requiring fabrication skills and even then there's no guarantee that the lens will communicate correctly with all EOS bodies. In practice, due to the scarcity of Sigma mount lenses the conversion is usually the other way around.

Ol filme camera lenes fit mycanon ef-s digital eos 1000D

Hello,

are your old film lenses FD or EF mounts ?
(Is the old film camera a Canon ?)

EF will fit EFS fine. My expeariance is with the EOS 3000 EF film camera (2002 -etc) and these work fine.

If you have Canon FD, there are some lens converters out there however I have not seen any yet which electrically connect and there is no AF. All Manual focus.

I have used Olympus OM mount adaptors with manual focus to mount older/different mount lenses with some success (As an example).

Best idea is to search ebay for your mount converters.

Does the Tamron 18-270 f3.5-6.3 Di VC LD Lens fit the Canon EOS 5D Regards IH

If it has the correct Canon mount then it will fit, but is still unsuitable.

The lens is designed for APS-C sized sensors, so the image it produces will not be big enough for the full-frame sensor on the EOS 5D. If you use it then there will be unacceptable vignetting in the corners of the images.

The angle of view of the lens will also be different to what you may expect: although it is an 18-270mm focal length it will have the same angle of view as a 28-420mm on a 35mm full frame equivalent camera.

I hope that my posting has helped you and only ask in return that you take a moment to rate my answer.

Lens

Quantaray is a private label lens made for Ritz Camera. They make this lens to fit several different camera brands including Nikon and Canon. The only ones that will fit a Canon camera body are the ones with the Canon EOS mount. If your Quantaray lens doesn't have an EOS mount, then it won't work on your Canon camera. You can take the lens to any Ritz Camera location and they can help determine which mount it has, and which cameras it will fit.

Canon EFS Lens question- please help!!

Make sure that the switch on the lens is set to AF. If that doesn't work, you may have a faulty lens. The EFS 18-55 is not a high quality lens.
