Operating functions:
To set the clock, press and hold the clock/timer button for three
seconds. A clock icon will appear on the left side of the screen. Input
the time using the numerical buttons and then click the clock/timer
button to save the time.
To set the timer, press and release the clock/timer button so that the
display shows all zeroes. Enter the desired time using the keypad. Press
start/stop to start the countdown. The countdown may be paused by
pressing the stop/start button and resumed by pressing the same button
again.
When countdown is complete, timer will beep continuously for thirty
seconds and display will flash. Timer will then beep every ten seconds
for ten minutes until the stop/start button is pressed.
This timer will also time up to time activities. To start count up,
press clear/memory so timer reads all zeroes. Press stop/start and a
plus sign will appear on the right side of the screen as the timer
begins counting up.
Light button is A Mode button is B Start button is C Reset button is D
Standard Time Adjustment: 1) To set time, date, etc. press button B three times (assuming you start in standard time display mode) 2) Press button D until the area you'd like to change is flashing. (i.e.: minutes, date, day, etc.) 3) Press button C to change. Press once for one unit increment of change. Hold for 3 seconds for speedy advance. 4) Press D again until the next area you'd like to change is flashing. 5) At completion of changes press Button B to resume standard time display mode.
The D3 is set automatically to West Coast (PST) Time. Only when you reset the D3 can you change the time. Hit the reset button and you'll start setting up the settings. It will bring you to the clock feature. Depending on where you are in the country you will need to hit the [+] button one click for each time zone east (i.e. East Coast (EST) is three clicks). Then you need to hit the "Summer Time" button becasue of Daylight Savings Time.
As for the Phone Book I don't use that feature so can't help you there
Time and Location If you hold in the light, start and the reset button for a few seconds a screen will appear with the 12h or 24 h clock setting and also the date and country. Once you have that screen if you press the mode button it will move over the date and clock etc then you just press the reset button and start button to choose the date and time. Once you have changed the date and time to the correct date press the light button, start button and reset button and it will save the settings.
Alarm Hold in the light, start and the reset button for a few seconds a screen will appear press the mode button it will move over the date and clock etc then you just press the reset button and start button to choose the date and time. Use the light button to set the screen.
1st click the set button on the bottom left of the keypad. Press the "up" button (located to the right of the the keypad) until you get to option number 7 IPP. Click the set button again (so you can change the settings for that option) and press the down button to turn off the option. Click the set button one more time and finally press the delete button to get out of your settings mode. No More beep, beep, beep......
