Two 10" Rockford Fosgate P1 subwoofers stopped making sound

I have had these two 10" subs for about six months. They were originally in a crappy box and so they didn't sound very good, so I just recently bought two Pro Boxes for them to fit in my single cab truck. The subs had always worked without a problem in the old box, but now that I have the new boxes, they went out. They worked for the first two days and sounded amazing, but when I was letting my friend listen, the left sub went out. It took me about another song to notice because it wasn't hitting as hard. I got home and checked the wiring and the sub and everything was in place. So I took it out and went on with my night, but later on my right sub went out the same way. What's going on?

Sounds like you've blown them.

When you were playing back to the friend, were you playing louder than usual?

Was the old box ported, and the new one sealed? The lack of ventilation may have caused the blow...
